 Zoombox DVD May 19, 2008
Quick Delivery and great price. This is great for the price. The quality is pretty good for showing family DVDs or if the kids are playing games. If you are looking for something high quality, this is not what you're looking for. But I use it for family gatherings and it is a huge hit. My kids also use it to play their video games and they love it.

I bought this toy after I have read the reviews so I was ready for the poor resolution issue. My son still liked it but we were only able to watch 1 DVD before the controls failed. I packed the unit and returned it back to the store for refund.

I purchased two of these electronics devices in October 2006, one for my 15 year old son in Oregon for his use and one which he brought to me during his visit in December 2006 to Argentina where I now live. He loves his and uses it in almost every room of the house. I take mine with me when I travel to remote places and towns all over Argentina so as to be afforded the pleasures of my DVD library and for friends to watch with me. It is a fantastic little machine and if it were possible to buy more, I have about 20 friends here that would buy one tomorrow. It's a great value for the dollar.

We bought the Zoombox for our 2 boys last Christmas, and they have loved it every day since then. It just now needs a bulb replacement, so I am going to the hardware store to get a new one. From what I've read online it's inexpensive & easy to replace.
It projects a very acceptable image onto a wall or the ceiling, so the kids can watch their movies before they go to sleep, or they can project the Xbox games while they play.
What an awesome invention. I only wish I could afford another one so they could quit fighting over it!
Don't hesitate to purchase this amazing projector for the kids and family movie viewing. It's fun to have everyone lying around on couches staring up at the ceiling watching a movie instead of the smaller TV screen.

Ok first things first The zoombox is what it is, Some people like it or it seems hate it, I bought the zoombox becuase I have another higher priced projector to watch movies on but wanted a cheap solution to just watch tv or whatever so I would not have to buy $250 lamps every 6 months. For this purpose I am pleased with what the zoombox can do, granted it is nothing like my higher priced projector, the picture is pixelated, the colors don't blend that well, and it is way dimmer than my higher priced projector(a little worse than a faded out vcr tape)But saying that if your expectations are not high and you or your child are not to picky this could be a solution for you. As an example I am a adult,I have crisp tvs,projectors etc... but i still like the zoombox for what it does, I have a 12 year old niece that has none of these and did not like the zoombox at all, so it depends on what you want out of the zoombox. 1 last note it makes a huge difference in which bulb you use I tried a bunch of diffent bulbs and some are way brighter and crisper than others.So some of the reviews that say you can't even see and image in the dark may be needing a different bulb. Hope this helps someone.
