I bought VN XP for my daughter's 8th Birthday. She had the "original" with no color and enjoyed it until I got her the XP. I think it's a great alternative for a child than a portable DVD player. A lot of people have the port. DVD players installed in their vehicles. I can't afford to do that so this was an excellent alternative.
I noticed an indivdual who had all negative things to say about this product. In turn, I read his reviews on other products and it appears that he uses "items" to vent his anger or something of the sort. He made fun of a girl who likes her Bratz Dolls. Ignore the fool is all I have to say. Happy Holidays!!

My daughter is thrilled with her new VideoNow XP. The new clam shell design allows for improved durability. Its educational value is up over the previous model with the availability of interactive PVD's. Kudos to Hasbro.

this is the best videonow made. the light is great so you can watch it in the morning. the battery dosnt die quickly. you get to skip to your favorite show. and it has more features to make it look like a real dvd player. its a little big to be portable but i dont care, it sets purfecly on my lap. next month were going to la by car so im prepared because the battery and light power is fantastic for traveling!

I cannot say enough great things about these! I bought the purple one for my four year old little girl and the blue one for my six year old little boy! They have not put them down since we got home! I showed them both one time how to use them properly and they have been doing it all by themselves since! This was a great invention and great idea. I bought a portable DVD player for my Tahoe that is going back tomorrow! These are a hit!

I was lucky enough to get this item for $14.99 with a great Toys R Us coupon! I realize that the age group is 6-12 but my 3 year old is not a typical 3 year old. She can figure out items really quick and the VideoNow Jr. just didn't cut it for her. She has figured the buttons out on this model just fine and I like it because when she's not using it, the older kids can play games on it. Multi-functional! The display is great, you can use it with headphones if the idea of hearing SpongeBob or Sesame Street on a long car trip is just too much to bear! The car adapter is a MUST! Batteries can go quick in this item so stock up! But other than that, I give this item 5 stars. It's a great buy! Especially for the $14.99 I paid!
