Kids love V Tech Flash, HOWEVER.... Mar 27, 2008

Purchased this joystick so a second player can participate in the VTECH Flash games. There is nothing wrong with the joystick, it works fine. It is easy to use and we love the versatility of it because it is made to accomodate left and right handed people. Which is why we gave it a 5 star review. HOWEVER, when using this joystick as a second player, it was not as we expected. We were hoping the two players could play simultaneously and interact with each other's characters while playing games. That isn't the case. Only one person plays at a time. So, interest is easily lost when waiting for a player to complete the game. This is no fault of the joystick. However, my kids (ages 6 and 4) won't use this joystick as a second player because either way, they are waiting to take a turn and as I stated eariler, ineterest is lost. So, if you are considering this as a buy for the second player option, it may not be worth your money.

I couldn't believe when I saw this as a $2 add on item. Really!? This is no small controller! VTech or not, this is an awesome deal!!! Wish I could use more! LOL

Awesome quality, reversible control face for left or right handed players. very durable....has survived my 6 year old so far!!! Love it!

love the v flash!! my daughter is 5 and about to enter kinder. now she knows math and spelling and it was much more fun for her. the games are not expensive and now she plays with her cousin:}

Purchased this product a few years ago so that both of my boys could play on the Vtech at the same time. Silly me didn't realize that only one child can play at a time on the games that we have. It doesn't take long for it to switch sides and is very sturdy in case it drops a lot. Have it here as a backup in case the one that came with the system breaks.
