 Repainted Stormtrooper Blaster Apr 17, 2005

What a great toy, and now it actually looks like the props! The mold for these was last used to produce the white stormtrooper blasters Hasbro made during the release of the original trilogy special editions, and it's very close in scale and design to the real deal. In fact, there are those who modify these to make very nice prop blasters. The repaint is more than adequate to represent the worn look of a blaster that has seen the wear of battle.
The blaster alternates between two accurate blaster sounds with each pull of the trigger, and the muzzle lights up red with each blast. You can't get much closer to the real thing without spending big bucks on a replica or a conversion of the real Sterling sub machine gun on which the original prop in A New Hope was based. Where were these when I was a kid?

My son (5 year old) chose this toy as his reward and was so excited when he received it. He and his brother and dad enjoy countless hours of pretend play as they are all Star Wars fans. It has a realistic appearance and the sound is not irritating as are many toy guns. Highly recommended.

Best Clone/Stormtrooper blaster you can buy Aug 13, 2005

First, it's not 100% accurate to the movie. I'm surprised how far from accurate it is. However, it is the same blaster that's been made and sold as a Stormtrooper blaster for quite some time now, so it's the best you can buy. It's a fun sound effect blaster, and it's pretty easy to remove the bright orange cap so it looks a tad bit closer to the movie. Younger kids will love it. Older kids, might if they're willing to look the other way about it not looking the same as the movie.
Best of all...if you're REALLY interested in having a perfectly accurate stormtrooper blaster, you can find the conversion pieces online (for around $75-90) and make it the perfect stormtrooper blaster. If you buy this blaster and then the conversion pieces, your blaster will be the best you can buy.

It's amazing. You buy lightsabers but then, whoa! A blaster? That's just awesome and with sound effects!

This toy Is awesome, I am a starwars fanatic so I'll get anything starwars. But not cheesy like the Darth Vader voice changer. Overall this toy is great!
