I have two home units and a car kit for my Xpress EZ Unit. I purchased this third antenna to make my car unit completely portable from my main car to secondary cars that I drive on trips. This antenna can also function not only as a Home Unit Base, but a mobile car base. I used it on a 500 mile trip with a xm sure connect fm unit and this did not miss a beat picking up a signal. It is nice not to have to run a car antenna out and stick it to the roof in a vehicle that I'm not going to be in very often. Definate essential for XM enthusiest.

Works as advertised and arrived on schedule. XM signal comes in loud and clear. Antenna is placed in a south facing window approximately 50 FT from the receiver. Signal is going thru 4 to 5 walls with no problem.

I recently changed offices. In my new location, the old antenna simply did not pull in enough signal. This replacement antenna met all my needs. Signal was improved and I've so far not experienced any cutouts whatsoever. It comes with the same 20 feet of wire that the stock antenna had so should work with any configuration of radio/antenna previously used.
I don't think the antenna will perform miracles, but if you're right on the edge of having enough signal, this item should certainly meet your expectations.

This antenna is larger than the one that came with my Belkin home kit, and pulls in more signal. Bigger is better in this case. I am able to use this inside, placed on top of the speaker, pointing south, though a wall, with 75% signal. With the Belkin antenna I had to place it on the window ledge, and got 50% signal. No sound difference, with digital it's working or not working I guess. But less likely to drop out, and I like my ability to place the antenna in a safer place. With the magnetic antenna that came with the Onyx, forget it about inside reception. Makes a clicking sound when the angle is adjusted, long cable, working on my Audiovox onyX receiver, has a straight plug versus a right angle, but fits fine. With this I am happy with my inside antenna placement, not as likely to get bumped as in the window. I don't think I will need to consider an external antenna now.
Was shipped quickly by SRS, in a simple mailing envelope, no box, but in good shape.

This is an essential part for adding versatility for home use. I coupled this antenna with a Signal repeater and it works just fine. It's an essential part for listening to XM satellite radio at home.
