These cars are so much fun! Just as the name says, you just shake it up and it goes. My son has several of these and they all have slightly different reactions. Some are faster than others.

They work best on a hard surface - Cement, hardwood floors, tile. They go pretty slow on carpet.

The cars are very durable. One of my son's favorite games is to launch them off the deck and see if he can get it to land on the grass below. If the weather isn't nice, he likes to send them racing down the stairs. So far, nothing has broken and its been over six months.

These cars are easy for my daughter (who is only two) to play with too. The kids love shaking with the cars and racing to see who's car goes the farthest.

My 4 year old got this for Christmas last year. He played with it a few days before it was buried who knows where and quickly forgotten. When our baby hit 8 months, it somehow reappeared and has turned out to be one of baby's absolute favorite toys. The little one first watched his brother and mommy race the car to each other. He soon picked up the idea of shaking the car. Beginners' luck or whatever it was - he made it go farther than we had ever gotten it to go on the first try. Now, several months later, he races it and crawls after it, and his brother has a blast fishing it out of obstacles and sending it back in the baby's direction.
This is one of the few toys capable of keeping both of their attention for an extended period of time.
I gave it high educational marks for the baby's benefit, since he has definitely learned more from this toy than most of his others, not to mention the mobility encouragement factor.

The Shake &Go Police Car racer is great - my almost 5 year old son loves it. Good racing noises, and he has to use some kid energy to make it work. Even though it requires batteries, it encourages him to use his muscles to charge up the racer. About seven good shakes will get 5 full circuits on the race track. Very engaging toy!

My little cousin enjoyed the police car. Makes an appropriate amount of noise, was a good size for him to handle (3 years). No sharp edges or worries in that area.
