I bought this for my daughter's 14 month birthday. She immediately loved Cookie and Elmo (I bought the matching pair).
They were softer and more beautiful than I expected and they have proven more durable than I'd hoped. She feeds them every time she eats but by some miracle they still look great.
When they arrived, they were packed in polka dotted tissue paper and the eyes were carefully wrapped. It was fun to open such a treasure! These are definitely my daughter's favorite stuffed animals and she'll have them for years!

I bought this toy to prop up on top of a small, wall mounted flat screen TV in the bird room to keep my Macaws from flying and landing on the TV. I got tired of replacing the balloons I normally tape to the top of the TV and this little guy was a lot cuter anyway. The birds like watching Sesame Street movies so maybe they recognize him. (Yeah, the birds are a little bit spoiled, but they do sit on the perches closest to the TV and watch the cartoons or kid's movies and it keeps them occupied).
If you're thinking of buying it for a child, this is a nice, soft plush toy and would be a great cuddly for bedtime. It's a nice size too, small enough to carry around and it looks like it would go into the washer and dryer when it gets dirty.
BTW, the description says it's the Cookie Monster doll, but this is definitely Big Bird, just as pictured.

When the item arrived it was much better than anticipated. It is super soft and very cuddly. I bought it as a gift and almost didn't want to give it up!

My 2 year old daughter is a huge cookie monster fan and her eyes absolutely lit up when she saw this little guy. He looks just the same as in the picture, very soft fur and just the right size for her to carry around. Shipping was very quick too.
