Floor monitors Mar 01, 2011
By joshgt85 I think the seismic monitors I have are the next step up from these.but the only difference is that mine have titanium horns, but anyways they sound great and are compact and lightweight I use three of them at my church for floor monitors and I am going to be buying one more to round out my set-up.

Affordable solution for any band or group Dec 14, 2010
By Michelle Moore We discovered Seismic Audio, a relative newcomer to the sound reinforcement speaker scene, this summer while browsing for some bits to fill out a PA system we inherited from a colleague. We ordered a pair of Seismic Audio floor wedge monitors to try out and found out we can pull double duty with them. In one configuration, we use them for highs in a 3-way PA set up. In another configuration, we use them for rehearsal PA sound. When combined with another set of SA monitors, our stage sound from monitors is sufficient for rehearsals when we don't want to blow up the neighborhood with the full PA. One caveat - don't drop them on the corners - these are monitors, not biggo mains - the metal corner bracket cover is not as sturdy as what you might find on a big sub cab. For the price, you can't beat 'em. We've since also purchased a set of 15" monitors with Titanium horns, and a set of dual 12" mains. The Titanium horns sound better, so if you can swing the extra few bucks, they're a better investment.
12M Monitors by Seismic Audio Aug 12, 2011
By Delrevo Ordered 2 pairs of these monitors and received them within 4 days. Outstanding! After unpacking them from their perspective boxes, first thing I realized is they are very light as compared to another brand of similar size monitors I already own. Overall good sturdy construction. Cloth covering is on this particular model; dust collector? ---- maybe --- but not too much of a concern for me. I do like the metal screen covering. On stage I usually get close to monitors bouncing around --- and have stepped on a few :).
Ok...on to the sound. I decided to run my laptop DJ system into a mixer, then out to two separate amps: 1 amp driving 2 of these monitors, and the other amp driving another pair of monitors I have. My EQ's and amps are identical. However, the other pair of monitors I own have a higher wattage rating than the SA M12's. The M12's held up well along side the other monitors. When the EQ's were bypassed, the M12's appeared brighter. Punchiness of bass was same on both with or without EQ. I play Bass and Guitar in a couple of bands, so I decided to run both through the mixer and out to the monitors (I prefer this versus a miked guitar/bass amp). Bass guitar response very good. My guitar sounds were very bright (clean or distorted tones).
Running both pairs through 1 amp (Ran guitar and vocals), I am very pleased how the vocals punch through the distorted guitar tones. Im pretty satisfied that at the levels I ran these speakers, they should do well outdoors; live band or DJ'd music.
Finally, the cost......I'm quite pleased :) For the money, these monitors are of very good construction and sound great. On a budget? I would recommend these :0)
Can not beat the cost for this quality product Mar 01, 2011
By Ken brown I am very pleased with the quality for my money. I would use it right next to any other speaker.
