Great Idea, But Only Fair Execution Nov 08, 2010

We gave this to our dino-loving son for his 5th birthday. The sound on this toy leaves a lot to be desired. Kind of tinny; the narrator speaks with a British-sounding accent that's not the easiest to understand given the sound quality. But the idea behind the toy is great and he does like to play with it. Quality could've been better though. Also, the model we received was not exactly what's shown in the picture. The functions look to be the same, but all in a different place (on the right side vs. the bottom).

Dino Quiz Apr 06, 2009
By Sugar Mom We've had this game for several years. Boys young and old enjoy the learning buttons and quiz. Quiz is challenging. Boys would have liked more interaction options, but as it is, this game toy is fun and entertaining. They will bring their dino toys out and match them to the game pictures when playing.

Great choice for kids that like dinosaurs. May 12, 2007
By Dana L. Atkinson This is a great toy. My son loves dinosaurs, and I wasn't sure what to get him for his birthday, and saw this and took a chance. I'm glad I did. He loves, and it's educational. So it's a double bonus for parents!

Great Idea. Poorly made. Dec 29, 2011
By Jennifer My mother bought this for my 5 year old son who loves dinosaurs. We thought he'd really enjoy it but when he turned it on and heard the creepy haunted house style music and the strange British voice (said with no prejudice as my husband has a British accent, though not a strange one) he turned it right off again and refused to play with it. My husband pushed a few buttons and found the setup to be poor and lacking any creativity. All of the dinos sound the same. Also, the questions are basic as is the information given. There is no room for growth once a kid has played with it a few times and memorized all of the little bit of information it has. Plus, my son already knew much about the types of dinosaurs presented in the game, thanks to the show Dino Dan; which, compared to this game, is a better use of time.

Not very modern Feb 15, 2011
By joyad7 Bought this for xmas for my 4 yr old son. He likes the toy but I'm disappointed with the quality. The audio is very old-fashioned, sounds like Max Headroom. Plus every dinosaur makes the same screeching sound, there is no variety to the different species as you would expect. My son actually brought this to my attention. "Mom," he said, "why do the t-rex and the diplodicus have the same voice?" Good question, kiddo. I wouldn't recommend this if your child really loves dinos, they'll spot the problems.
