4Great Fun  Jan 29, 2007 By D. Sheppard-Brick
This is a very challenging puzzle that should not be undertaken unless you have a good deal of free time, and or a place to set it aside to work on it later. Once finished it is worth the effort.

5Very nice!  Jan 16, 2011 By John B. Goode "JBG"
A very nice 3D puzzle of Mad King Ludwig's real life castle in Bavaria (also seen in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang).

Difficulty: A little above average for skilled users. Spoiler guide follows:

As usual I started out by putting all the bases together. Then the roofs, then the front gate. With all the colorful pieces out of the way I started on the gray pieces in earnest.

The large panels such as the sides of the main building were the easiest. The 1 piece wide towers were the hardest. The thing I liked least were the pieces with the tiny teeth(?), makes them hard to connect to each other.

Took me a while to complete all the panels, but once I did I cracked open the instructions and put them all together by the numbers. The panels were quite easy to put together, and once fully assembled the castle was a joy to look at. The poor king lived in the gate house while it was being built and died before it was finished. That's why one side of the castle looks incomplete.

It's definitely very nice. And this actually the 2nd Neuschwanstein Castle put out by the 3D folks. The first castle, which seems to be simpler was just named Bavarian Castle. It's no longer produced.

The finished castle is about 2 foot long. The only quibble I have is that they could have made this castle 50% or even 100% bigger. It would have been much more imposing. Overall highly recommended. I put a 2 star durability rating for all my Puzz3D puzzles because none of them can stand a lot of abuse. Ciao.

53D Puzzles Rock!  Nov 17, 2010 By Brooklynn
3D Puzzles Rock....unless they don't stay together very well. This one you won't have to worry about...it stayed together really well. It was a blast putting it together as well. A friend of mine and I sat and worked on this puzzle for 2 days straight! We had a blast. It gets a little complicated when you get to the roof...and there are a couple of spots on the roof where its not a perfect fit. However, you can make it work and get it to stay together!

53D puzzle  Jun 25, 2009 By William P. Vandervelde "puzzlenut"
I received the puzzle in less than a week and it was complete and intact. It is one of the hardest 3D puzzles that I have assembled. Since I began gluing them together as I assemble them, it took longer than expected because it had so many small individual pieces. I eventually determined where each pice belonged and it looks great.

4The third 3D puzzle that I own  Jan 01, 2009 By J. Clem "jlclem7"
This is a large puzzle. It does require a good deal of space and a good deal of time to do. It is quite rewarding once complete and the directions can be a huge help. I find that completing a section or a wall tends to help simplify things however the towers can make things a bit more complex. It is worth the money that I paid, but I wouldn't go above $65 or so. I have no intention of breaking this one down for a while yet.
