A good book for a preschooler Nov 26, 2003 This book was one of my 3 year olds first books for her LeapPad, and it is still her favorite. She likes Winnie the Pooh, and it's filled with games that help her practice counting, find objects from tallest to smallest, matching, shapes, colours, music, and more. She plays with this book by herself and likes it better than most of the Leap Start reading books. It's educational, fun, and is a great introduction to a LeapPad for a preschooler.

Great Leappad book for preschoolers! Dec 27, 2002
By Debbie Crawford My 3 yr old son LOVES this book! He can answer the questions and yet it was not so easy as to bore him. It's perfect for preschoolers who are learning their numbers and counting.

Count to 10 with Lots and Lots of Honeypots! Jul 05, 2005
By History_of_Art_Geek Lots and Lots of Honeypots was one of the first LeapPad books my son received, so it's clocked in a good many hours of play. The story is straightforward, and easy for young preschoolers to grasp. Although, it's the games that really occupy my boy. There's loads of praise for the right answers, and a repeat of the question when answered incorrectly. I like this aspect of play, as it encourages learning. The activities challenge children to listen to instruction, recognize items, and follow through by touching the pictures on the pages.
It's difficult to get a 3-year old to listen for any great length of time, but this toy promotes listening, and focus. That alone deserves a decent rating from me. I recommend this book for children 3 and up, but caution parents that it may require some supervision. The GO button must be touched every time you turn the page, so the LeapPad can identify the page. This alone may cause frustration. The pages are sturdy; yet, little ones may get over anxious and crinkle the pages, or worse, tare them off the binding. I've repaired a few pages with tape, but it's not desirable.
I don't have any complaints about Lots and Lots of Honeypots; however, I've discerned over 6-months time that these books are mastered quickly. If there were more pages per books with progressive learning I wouldn't cringe so much at the price tag. Overall, I'm satisfied with the content of this book. I recommend it for young children who haven't mastered counting to 10.

An enduring favourite Jul 15, 2004 My 4 yr old got this last christmas together with a few other titles. It's definitely his favourite and still keeps him occupied. There are nice counting and matching games and rhymes. It's pages are more interactive (more things to point to) than many other titles. Pooh's pronounciation makes him a little hard to understand at the beginning.

LeapPad cd's Feb 08, 2010
By Christine A. Meakin I purchased this program for my granddaughter. She acquired a LeapPad a couple of years ago with only one CD. As she is now in kindergarten, I felt this would be a great tool for her education. I searched Amazon.com for the product as this version of the LeapPad software is now obsolete. I was extremely happy to find three different products that met my needs and I purchased all three.
