Drivemax... Jan 22, 2007
By Bakuryuu Tyranno Bandai America tried to change this Megazord to be different from its original version, Daibouken.
I should also note that on the biggest Power Rangers message board, we had about 30 pages of people complaining about how bad the Drivemax Megazord is. That means there were 600 posts on how much the Drivemax Megazord stinks.
Here's how its changed-
Good-
It's bigger... well, there were a lot of people compalining about Zords being too small
Bad-
1: The Gyrocopter now forms the wings and head. Originally, it formed the wings and a helmet, meaning you could form the thing without it. Yes, this is important, read number 5 for an example of why
2: The Drivemax Megazord's trailer mode has the bulldozer and submarine sitting on the back, while Daibouken's trailer mode had them inserted into the back, meaning the trailer mode really looked like a real truck. The Drivemax Megazord's truck mode looks like its got a submarine and a bulldzoer on top of its trailer for no reason.
3: Daibouken had very posable arms and legs. The Drivemax Megazord has been altered so much that its legs barely move, and its arms no longer bend at the elbow joint.
4: The Drivemax Megazord's sword is just a single sword. Daibouken's could separate into a shovel and pickaxe.
5: Because the Drivemax Megazord, unlike Daibouken, doesn't have a detachable helmet, when the Zords 6-9 get reelased, you won't be to form the nine-part combination. Maybe I should repeart that, for those who didn't catch on: YOU CANNOT FORM THE FIRST EVER NINE-PART MEGAZORD IN PR HISTORY. The reason is because the submarine and dozer cannot fit into the legs, and you cannot take the Megazord's helmet off to replace with with part of the Crane Zord (when it comes out)
6: Likewise, because the bulldozer and submarine can't fit into the Megazord's legs, when the sixth through tenth Zords are released (later this year) you will not be able to form the first ever TEN-part Megazord in PR history.
7: Possibly the worst yet... Daibouken and the rest of the Gougou Vehicle gestalts (Overdrive Megazords) could, in Japan, switch their arms with the Bakuryuu gestalts (Dino Thunder Dino Zord combinations. Because the Drivemax Megazord is so much bigger than Daibouken, while the Thundersaurus Megazord is the same size as Abarenoh, you cannot switch the arms of the Dino Thunder and Operation Overdrive Megazords. The size of the arm connectors is vastly different.
If you're thinking of getting this, you'll regret it once Operation Overdrive airs and you realise it can't do a damn thing the Megazord in the TV series can do.
Over the last few years, Bandai America has made a few changes to DX Sentai mecha, but never changes this big. Hopefully this is the last time Bandai America decides to screw us over by modifying a Sentai mecha.
this is why I only buy from bandai japan Aug 12, 2012
By boostergold its good as a toy but not on display. fun for little kids but not good for collectors good leg movement for a megazord.

Pretty Good! May 18, 2007

"Shalkar Rakal"
It is the five original zords from this incarnation of the "Power Rangers". My major complaint is that the individual zords don't really do a whole lot when seperated. Their moving parts are extremely limited and tey have no kind of requirement for electricity as the thing barely moves when you make it and that's it. Also, the sword doesn't seperate in to a shovel and pick axe like in the show. It's good enough I suppose, but for the money I'm surprised at how little it does. Honestly, I probably wouldn't pay more than $40 for it now.
Other than that, my little brother plays with it nearly every day and he loves. it. :D
