Cruiseship Review Nov 06, 2006
By H. Freeman My daughter was very excited to receive this cruise ship playset. The slide is a bit difficult to put together and also the railings don't stay in place at all.....I would suggest buying the additional travel bag full of polly pockets and accessories. The accessories are very small and can be swallowed very easily if the child that is receiving this is too young.....Overall, 4 stars.

Over priced Junk Feb 06, 2007
By Maureen E. Connolly This thing is flimsy...difficult to put together and keep together and not appropriate for anyone under the age of 8 even though the recommended ages are 4-8. The fence will not stay on, the hammock does not work at all If it was 25$ even 30$ I probably wouldn't complain, but fo 75$ I expected something a little better and more entertaining. My 6 year old daughter got this and the Theme park for Christmas and to be honest I found both to be the most disappointing toys of this Christmas, and the biggest rip off of the year.

Hours Upon Hours of Entertainment! Jun 12, 2007

My 3 year old daughter loves Polly Pockets and received this ship for her birthday. We all love it, including my husband who just loves the Rock Climbing Wall and Harness. It is pretty easy to set up and take down. This set has a TON of little accessories but I previously bought a large rubbermaid container for all her Polly junk so clean up is pretty easy. Yes, some of the railings come off easily, but who cares, there is so much happening on the Polly ship that a few loose railings just add to the drama. My daughter's Polly's rock climb and shop for hats and drink smoothies at the cafe only after parasailing and lounging in the color changing hot tub. They also take long naps in their cool fold out beds after emailing their grandparents on their computer. I have nothing bad to say about this toy because I love to sit down and role play with my daughter and her Pollys and this ship has yet to let us down.
Fun and Fun and Fun!

Really Cute and Fun Feb 09, 2007
By Shelby Stoll This is a really fun toy. My five year old and I love to play with it together. There are a lot of cute features; like the slide and the rock climber. My only complaint, is that some of the pieces don't stay on the ship very well. I'm constantly re-attaching the railings and the elevator. I love the fact that the ship came with all the stickers already applied. That's a big plus for me!

Tips for playing with Polly Cruise Ship Jan 02, 2007
By M. Jones My 4-year old received this for Christmas and just loves it. Here are tips that have helped me keep my sanity with this toy: 1) I set up the ship in her closet and I just leave it open and everything set up for her to play with whenever she wants. Praise God we have the room in her closet and we can just close the closet doors so her baby brother doesn't get into the small parts. It just takes time to set up for her everytime she wants to play and she doesn't have the skill or dexterity to do it her self. 2) I Krazy glued all pieces that don't affect the opening and closing of ship for storage like the yellow railings on the ship. I did this and they don't fall off anymore. I also glued that piece with the manequin head that you put together on the piece that you hook the hats and purses to display in the store. It's 3 pieces and they are blue and head is pink. I just krazy glued those parts so I don't have to set it up for my daughter everytime and I glued the palm tree together leaves to trunk (don't glue tree to ship or you won't be able to close it). 3) We use a rubberband to keep the dolls on the parasailing gizmo since seatbelt doesn't really work. 4) When you want the dolls bathing suits to change color make sure you put ice in the water initially and soak them then use the warm water like the instructions say. We pull out the removeable pool and play in the tub as I don't want to mess with getting the boat and everything wet. 5) The dolls fall off the elevator unless you push them in down firmly to their calves. 6) I've noticed my daughter mostly wants to dress the dolls and not bother so much with all the ity bity accessories so I just set those aside (hide them) so she doesn't spill them all on the floor whenevr she plays. I just give her the dolls, clothes (I bought separately), purses and of course she loves putting their shoes on and she is entertained with that. 7) I sewed the purple hammock thing together because it kept falling apart (yes, I am a little compulsive). 8) you can store some of the small pieces like shoes, combs, suntan lotion in the "rolling" suitcases that come with the set - they actually do open and snap shut. Overall I think the wall climbing and slide are the coolest thing in this playset and they work pretty well. Have fun and if you get the clothes it's even funner for your daughter. Target has a lot of the polly stuff at 50% off now. But keep in mind that some clothes, especially the "quik clik" stuff, prevents dolls from sitting in those lawn chairs that come with this set. It's kind of frustrating they give you chairs but if they are in clothing, they can't sit. I didn't pay $50 for the ship because her grandpa got it for her so it's easy for me to say WE LOVE THIS TOY!
