4Fun, Unique Game (no pokemon knowledge required!)  Mar 31, 2006 By Kelli Adams "dragon girl 78"
First off, you need not know anything about Pokemon to play this game; you just need a little luck and basic addition skills (the ability to add single digit numbers and distinguish between a higher and lower number).

My 5 year-old son loves anything Pokemon and got this game for Christmas. It has been enjoyed by friends his age, my 24 year-old sister and her boyfriend, my 13 year-old female cousin and even my 75 year-old grandma! Everyone always comments on how "different" it is.

We play a lot of board games and I think this one is very unique, which is one of the reasons I like it so much. It's also very interactive between players and I am always amazed at how quickly my son can add up the "battle points" in his head. There are tons of pokemon cards (like 180 or something?) and he loves looking through those even when not playing the actual board game.

He and I play one-on-one a lot, and we have also pulled out his Pokemon figures and played wth more than four people, although room around the board was a little tight.

Overall, I really love this game. It has easily become a favorite of the entire family.

5Pokemon Boardgame Review  Dec 28, 2005
This game is fun. Unlike many boardgames it goes very fast. I f you like Pokemon you will like this game very much. You can play as 4 characters. It is mostly luck so it is fun for a Pokemon novice, but you still get juicy Pokemon facts. Also the combine all the pokemon worlds, and as a bonus you can catch ledgandarys.

5If Your Little One Loves Pokemon....  Feb 17, 2006 By Ellen Bagetakos Handlin
This is a great game on rainy days! Once you get started, the little ones' imaginations take flight and they're Pokemon Trainers. It's fun to watch, and to participate even if your goal in life is NOT to catch or battle for Pokemon!

5A Fun Game!  Aug 25, 2006 By M. Baldwin "rlbaldwin2"
My 8 year old says: "It is fun and sure to be a blast!" He loves the fact that all the Pokemon are represented in the game. He and his friends actually quit playing the video versions of Pokemon to play this board game. Game play is interesting enough for adults, too, and easy to understand even if you are a Pokemon neophyte. If you are, the kids are sure to fill you in on all the details.

5A great game for the whole family!  Sep 10, 2006 By J. Hauser
We purchased this game a few weeks ago because our [...] son is a huge Pokemon fan. We love that there is a Pokemon game that gets the whole family involved and keeps the electronic version and videos off for awhile! Our [...] daughter is entertained enough with all the characters and battles that she'll stick with the game all the way through the end. The game is easy enough that our son can play it with friends he has over, but interesting enough that we enjoy playing it with the kids, too. I highly recommend it for Pokemon fans and newbies alike!
