Digger the dog---average pull toy with sound effects. Nov 09, 2000 My fifteen month old enjoys the toy (especially the realistic sound effects). However, he gets frustrated when he pulls the leash and Digger sometimes flips over to the side. He still tries to drag it. I believe this is a result of the toy not being not quite heavy enough. I still would recommend it; However, it needs a ring at the top of the leash so that it can be more easily grasped.

So great we're buying one for a gift! Jun 23, 2001 Our youngest son, at 9 months of age, got this as a Christmas present. We also have 2 live dogs, but this one HE can actually "walk." We have been happy with his interest in the toy so much so that we are buying one for my husband's boss's youngest boy for his first birthday. We haven't had significant problems with the toy flipping - just be aware that the wheels don't swivel so you can't expect it to have a terrific turning radius. Our son doesn't get frustrated with it and our dogs don't bother the toy either (since it does bark). We've rated it very highly because it is one of his favorite toys, and has been for 6 months now - and we haven't had to change the batteries yet either.

Cute but Tipsy Nov 07, 2001 My son got this toy when he was about 18 months. He is two years old now, and he really loves Digger. However, he doesn't play with digger for long. We have wall-to-wall carpeting upstairs and ceramic tile floors downstairs, neither of which are very compatible with Digger. Unless you pull him in a relatively straight line, he tips over easily. My son gets frustrated after a while and will stop playing with it. He does give it a chance often, as he loves being able to have a 'dog'. This toy is durable and cute and wouldn't tip over so easily if the wheels were a little further apart and/or if it were a little heavier. The string could be a little easier to grasp, to me, but my son doesn't seem to mind. It is a cute, fun toy, especially if your child isn't easily frustrated.
So fun Jan 25, 2013
By Anica Ditchkofsky My 4 year old loves his puppy which he named Sparky. The toy itself is well-constructed and durable. I would recommend this to a friend.
should be called "Drag Toy" thumbs down! Oct 31, 2011
By Jane T. My kids are all drawn to this toy and love the idea of "walking" the dog. But it doesn't stay up when you pull it, so it drags on the side and is all scratched up. Did playskool ever even try this out??? They get frustrated. It's in the trash pile, wouldn't want to even donate.
