Item should be for 6-12months Jan 03, 2007

I purchased this for my 2 year old son, thinking the adjustible height would be big enough. However, the "arm" only adjusts approx. 2 inches. My son had to bat down at the ball and pretty much just used the bat to destroy the unit. I would recommend this only for a child younger than 12 months as my friend received this as a gift for her 15 month old son and again, it is too small for him as well. The lights and sound/music are a nice option, but for a younger child.

My little guy loves it... Dec 14, 2006

I got this toy for my son when he had just mastered sitting up (at about 8 months old) and it gave him an activity that would let him hone that skill. He swings at the ball (and anything else) with the little bat and loves the announcers voice--"It's outta here!" just cracks him up. I recommend it highly. Mommy in CA

My son loves it!! Dec 08, 2006

This toy has provided hours of enjoyment for my son who is 18 months old. I love the fact that it's only two pieces and it even has a place to store the bat! He loves the sound effects and he even has older friends who play with it trying to hit a home run.

Not for tall or standing babies Nov 18, 2010

This toy is great! Thanks to it, my 16 month old son now loves to say "WOW!". He even likes hitting it just to hear it say it, and to watch it go around. But the downside to it, is its very short. Even thought he is a very tall boy, it would still be too short for an average sized standing baby. It only adjusts about 3 inches taller. Its more of a toy for sitters. That would be my only negative about it.

You Hit a Tripple!!!!!!!!!!!! Jan 12, 2008
By M. Ditmore We got this for our boy who just turned 1 because he hits at everything. I would say he plays with it ocasionally but he's got allot of options. It's fun for a few minutes and then it's on to the next. This toy is probably best when child is seated and agee that the height adjustment is useless. He mostly hits it with his hand and not the bat, but overall it's okay, and a little entertaining. This does not meen that he won't enjoy it more when he's a little older, again he just turned 1.
