I initially bought this as a toy for work. Playdough is a great fine motor activity and can be used in a variety of ways during therapy sessions for kids of all ages. Of course, it found it's way into my 2 year olds hands and she loves it! Rolling out the dough and pressing out shapes..she could do this for hours. The plunger is a little difficult to use for little hands, and it may cause frustration if there is not and adult there to help. The little scissors are also a big hit and a great way to teach scissor skills. The bucket also keeps everything together. And if the playdough only gets put in the bucket and not their little containers..it still stays fresh.

i really love play doh. i got this for christmas from santa, and i play with it almost every day. everything packs away in the bucket so it's easy for me to put away when my mommy says so. i can store other play doh gadgets in it also. i really love it.

I'm the grandmother, who loves to play with the kids. I bought this for my 3 year old grandson several years ago. Now his 3 year old sister is still playing and enjoying all the accessory pieces. I also purchased a small playdoh table. It's always in the "playroom" in the basement. Playdoh is a great way for kids to express themselves and use their immagination.

we got this when my son was 2. Not sure what else I can say about play doh - it's fun and colorful and really holds my son's attention. He loves to squish it and cut it and roll it into little balls and will play with it for hours if I let him.
What I like so much about this particular set is that everything stores so nicely in the bucket. The bucket cover has a nice "tuperware-like" seal which my son can't open by himself (which I like because I don't really want him taking this out without me). There are all kinds of cookie cutters in all different shapes and all of this, plus several tubs of play doh pack away nicely when you're done.
I would recommend play-doh as a great toy for toddler aged kids on up, and would recommend this set especially because it cleans up/stores away so well.

The bucket of playdoh is great because it comes with all the doodads that are fun with playdoh. The best thing is that you can take it any where.
