My mother has mild dementia and has been upset with me since I moved her closer to me. I bought this kitten for Christmas which looks just like her departed "Sadie." Well her whole attitude has changed...she has not argued with me and seems soooo much happier and here it is 2 weeks later.
She has it sitting on it's little pad on her sofa arm and reaches over often to pet her and listen to her purr. I visit daily and we enjoy coming up with all of the reasons why this kitty is so much better than a live one.
Yes, it isn't very loud and you can't turn it off but for her it was a most inspired gift. The battery is just starting to die but we are ready to replace it when needed.
Am thinking about a black lab puppy for her birthday...

I got this kitten for me daughter and she loves it!!! She has been wanting a cat for a long time. This is as close to a real cat without all the fur balls and litter boxes...A GREAT TOY

We had purchased this kitten to place on our hearth, but kitty was brushed and handled by 2 adults before it began to make severely asthmatic noises and we took the batteries out.
Poor kitty!

This is a great substitute for a live cat. At this point in my life I don't want to get any more pets so I decided to get this one. When I glance at it laying on the chair it looks like my late cat, Winky.

Ordered for grandson. Totally disappointed. I first thought it needed new batteries because it wasn't purring. I called the company and they were cordial but not helpful. Turns out the cat was purring but you could only tell when you put your hand on him. It was even difficult to find the area that was purring. New batteries didn't increase the intensity of the purring. Would not recommend to anyone.
