4How to get the penguins to shut up!  Nov 06, 2007 By J. Jacobs
Great toy, but as stated, the sqeaker has to go. I did this simply by taking it apart and removing it. It's easy enough to do, just take all the screws out (all you need is a phillips screwdriver)and pull the 2 peices apart. You'll see a small clear plastic "accordian-shaped" peice at the bottom near the bottom of the stairs, it will have a black horn-shaped peice attached to it. Unhook it from the arm that connects to it (i actually unhooked the arm also so it wasn't just flopping around in there) and voila, no more squeaky penguins!

Now the stairs that take the penguins up is still a bit loud, but not nearly as annoying as *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *sq...ok you get the idea.

4Entertaining toy for special needs kids  Jan 19, 2009 By C. Abel
I bought this toy for my 10 year old son with autism. He loves to watch the penguins in constant motion and luckily this is also a very duarable toy! It was easy to put together, and if my son can't break it no child can! We use it as an educational toy too, with different colored penguins we use sign language to identify each and also to learn how to sequence. A simple, cute, fun, durable toy.

5A Favorite Toy In Our House  Dec 15, 2008 By Andrea - Hayley and Julia's Mom
My girls, ages 4 and 2 love "The Penguin Game." There really is no "game" here, it's just a cute thing to watch. My 4-year-old who is on the autistic spectrum just loves to watch the penguins go round and round. She finds it soothing. Sometimes she just likes to hear the noise running and doesn't watch the penguins. My 2-year-old (who doesn't put things in her mouth but still is not allowed to play with it unattended) likes to pick up the penguins and move them around to different areas on the track and let them go. This toy is worth the 16 or 17 bucks.

5A favorite  Dec 07, 2010 By M. Wolfe
I'm kind of surprised to see this toy online. I had it when I was a kid, 20+ years ago. I absolutely loved it. I don't think you have to have or be a parent of a child with autism to love this toy. I don't have autism and I loved to watch it, young kids just like to do things repetitively, and I remember anxiously waiting for the penguins to get to the top of the stairs (it takes a long time in kid minutes) because I know what will happen when they get there, but the transition from going up with help to coming down on their own was fascinating.

4It worth the money  Aug 09, 2010 By Harel Wheitz
I pay to babysit my kid $12 an hour. This toy babysit for about 8 hours and it is still doing the job so it was worth the money :)
I also had to open the toy and took out the annoying sound thingy.
Overall I would recommend to buy it.
