I received the Fisher Price Ocean Wonders dumbell rattles as a gift at my baby shower...little did I know how much my son would love them! He started showing signs of teething around 4 months, so we pulled the rattles out of storage and gave him the fish shaped one first. I was amazed at how quickly he took to the toy, he holds it upside down and chews endless on the green ring. Too cute for words!
As far as the safety is concerned, the toy is a breeze to clean and is easily attached to a pacifier clip so it doesn't fall on the ground. Plus, I've confirmed with Fisher Price that the plastic is BPA-FREE...their customer service rep that I spoke to recently has reassured me ALL their toys are BPA-FREE. Great to know, especially with all the news about BPA being a health concern.
I highly recommend the Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Dumbell Rattles! So much so, I will be gifting them to all my pregnant girlfriends. :)

These are just too cute. Being a first time mommy I can't really compare it to others...but they seem to work just fine - construction is great and the little rings rattle just enough. If you use it in the tub, water will get in the little fish - so let it dry out.

This was a Christmas present for our four month old granddaughter. She loves playing with it and of course with teething the different forms on its surfaces are used with zeal.

Ok, when I receieved the rattle, I liked the devisal of style. it's intresting and cute， but had a odor of rubber. I think it should not own the ordor as a infant toy. So it just okay.

My little one is 4 months and is definitely not ready for this rattle. She can easily grasp it and make it to her mouth, however it is really top heavy and the very hard plastic fish whacks her in her head because she is not strong enough to control it. I used the seahorse one with my older girl and that one was much easier for a baby to manipulate. I will try this again several months from now. Teething will happen for quite some time.
