Excellent for infants and toddlers! Mar 16, 2006

This was a gift from a friend and our 8 week old would watch it while we were in the car. He has grown up with it and at 18 months it is still one of his favorite toys. The music is pleasant so it doesn't drive you nuts the way other electronic toys can and our toddler has learned to touch it to keep the music going. He has even increased his fine motor skills by turning the switches on and off in the back. We just bought three more to give out as gifts to our friends that are having babies. This was a great toy.

The best baby gift Feb 14, 2007
By Jeannie Marcus I'm a pediatrician and have chosen this as my preferred baby gift for family and friends. The kids love it for a long time. Initially they just look at it and a caretaker can activate it to play music. As the baby develops, they learn to turn it on themselves. The quality of the music is terrific. This is not a tinny music box! I was disappointed when it seemed to disappear from the stores. So I was thrilled to find it on Amazon.

A really excellent music maker Feb 01, 2006

We purchased this for our son when he was 6 mos. He wasn't into it. He preferred basic plush toys and less "active" toys. Now he's 9 1/2 mos and is absolutley fascinated by this thing.
He's truly mesmerized by the smiling face and listens intently (often while bouncing in time with the tunes) to the crystal clear musical expressions that emanate from within..
The volume control is a big bonus.

Sunshine Symphony a lifesaver at times Jan 18, 2006
By RDHandMomOf2 Our daughter loved this even at a few weeks old. Now at 4+ mos., the novelty of it hasn't worn off a bit. Still on original batteries, too. I now hang it onto stroller or swing from linkadoo rings so it hangs out infront of her face while I'm cooking or working on other chores and it keeps her smiling and content. I've even held her on my lap with it hanging on exercise bike's handlebars so I can get some exercise and she loves it!

Great toy! Jan 17, 2008

I think this is one of the best toys out there and worth every penny that the expensive toy stores sell for. I was thrilled when I saw it on Amazon for much less. It plays classical music from several composers and the music doesn't sound like that clanky music box variety. It sounds like it's coming out of my iPod. My 6 month old has figured out that you have to touch the face to get it to play the music. This toy peaks her interest more than the other toys I have purchased for in the past months.
