CASSETTE PLAYER WORKS AGAIN!!! Jun 11, 2010
By Betty T Yes, we still have a cassette player in our cars. On our stereo system we transfered LPs to cassette to enjoy while driving. We're also transferring LPs to CD through our computer, but that's another story. Our old head cleaner bit the dust and luckily, I found this one. I received it in it's original packaging with a full bottle of cleaning fluid. Once I pushed a needle through the opening at the top of the bottle I was ready to go. I did two swipes through the player since it hadn't been cleaned in a long time and everything sounds fantastic, once again. Now if you forget to puncture the tip of the opened bottle, you'll think the darn thing is empty. Shaking it doesn't give you the "feel" of a filled bottle so get out the needle before you get discouraged about a defective product. It works great! Not everyone tossed out "things from the past" so....sorry technology. I know I'm the kind of person you really hate. I don't spend my money on "new toys" until my old ones are no longer usable.

Good product Apr 15, 2008
By MP Good product, cleans the head as it should. Watch out from strong liquid, it will bleach fabric if you spill.

Works Great! Jul 02, 2008
By Joseph R. Kennedy I use this in conjunction with a demagnetizing tape head cleaner cassette. Both are the same exact thing except that this one has no rotating magnet in it. I wet this cassette with plenty of cleaning fluid and it improves the quality of my playback after playing filthy old cassettes. I play it with the dry demagnetizing tape to dry it off and polish it while demagnetizing it. I recommend this tape in conjunction with a demagnetizing head cleaner cassette as well.

Worked just as advertised! Oct 30, 2008

I'm copying old cassettes to MP3s, and some of the tapes are a real mess, so after running a couple through the tape player, the player starts to sound really mushy. A couple runs through with this tape head cleaner, and it's back to clear sound again.
One thing ... I noticed another reviewer complained that they were not able to get the liquid out of the bottle because the bottle was too stiff to squeeze ... I also had this problem until I realized that you have to stick a pin inside the dropper to break the seal - after that it worked perfectly.
