Marshmallow Blaster Jan 03, 2007

I gave two blasters to my 10 year old twin grandkids (1 boy, 1 girl) for Christmas. I included two packages of marshmallows with them. At first, the blasters wouldn't work because, believe it or not, jet-puffed marshmallows are too big. After someone found a bag of regular-sized marshmallows, the fun began. It took a while for my grand-daughter to get her blaster out of the hands of one of the "adults," but she finally retrieved it. I have given them much more expensive gifts over the years, but nothing was ever so much fun as these.
I gave these toys 4 stars instead of 5 because it was too hard to pump the blaster enough to get a major blast until they oiled the pump with olive oil. I suggest this recommendation be included with the toys.
PS Their dog probably had an overload of sugar, chasing and eating the flying marshmallows.

I bought one of the Marshmallow Shooters, from the same company not too long ago. It was the best 20 dollars I've ever spent. Acctually, I ended up ordering one for my dad, one for my 21 year old brother, and one for the sixty something year old guy that I work with. We even took the marshmallow guns and my video camera out and shot a pretty good movie with them. My review is the exact opposite of the other person who commented on the shooter. (They have detailed cleaning directions because young children don't know that marshmallows will melt inside the gun in the hot sun, thus a big mess in the gun.) A house is not a home with out a marshmallow gun. I'm about to purchase my 5th one, and I can'wait for the marshmallow bow and arrow!

Fun! Fun! Fun! Jan 09, 2007

I bought four of these for my husabnd, son in law, daughter and myself for Christmas. I wrapped a bag of marshmallows for each of them and gave them the wrapped guns and marshmallows on Christmas eve. The second they opened the marshmallows they knew what was in the box. They ripped into them and were shooting each other like crazy. They had a blast! I will tell you that the marshmallows do hurt at close range when the gun is pumped way up. My dogs loved it too. They ate all the marshmallows that fell to the floor. Well, not ALL of them..I did find some in the Christmas tree and on the bookshelves. (Yes they played with them in the house.) One trick...to get the marshmallows to shoot really well, we genlty rolled them in our hands from side to side to make the mallow just a bit skinnier. Stale marshmallows work great too.

We received our blaster promptly and have enjoyed it as a fun way to play with marshmallows. It works well and shoots marshmallows far. It provides a good laugh and my kids enjoy playing with it.
