4I'm Pleased  Dec 19, 2005 By P N "tceinga"
I bought this back pack for my 4 year old grandson. I read the reviews on the other case for the regular Leapster and learned that other people were having a hard time finding a case for the L-Max since it would not fit.

I did not want something really big, but big enough for the L-Max and some games.

This is adequate in size but not too big and bulky. Everything fits. It works for us.

4Good for storage, not great to wear.  Feb 20, 2006 By M. Linsky "mom of two boys"
I bought this for my 4 YO son to store his Leapster and cartridges. It's great for that job - big main compartment with inside pockets, plus a small outside pocket. The problem is the strap - it's supposed to fit across the body like a messenger bag, but we can't seem to get it to fit him right no matter how we tighten it. It's always sliding around his neck and shoulder. For the price, I should have purchased a regular backpack. We always end up carrying the pack by the hanging loop instead of wearing it.

5Better than the carrying case  Mar 13, 2006 By C. Sabo "plumcrazie528"
I agree with the other reviews on this product. It does carry more & keeps everything together in one "package".

My son has the carrying case & he likes the backpack better.

2Not Bad  Mar 27, 2007 By Disappointed
I bought this carry case for my son's L-Max. It works well for carrying the unit and all the games he has for it. I wouldn't advise dropping it on a hard surface of any sort. It is not nearly padded enough to be carrying a hand held gaming unit of any sort. My son likes to take his L-Max to school with him for mornings before school begins. I place it in the carrying case and then place the carrying case inside of his backpack to give it some extra cushioning.

If I had known how little padding there was in this particular carrying case I probably wouldn't have bought it. There is a carrying case out for the Nintendo Wii that is similar in style but much more padded. I almost purchased it but then thought that I should get something designed for the Leapster L-Max. If I had it to do over I would have purchased the case for the Wii. It might have been a little big but the extra padding would have made up for it.

Overall, it is not a bad purchase but for the money you should get something a little more protective. After all, the Leapster starts at $69.99 and the price goes up accordingly for the L-Max.

4Can't quite Carry-It-All Backpack  Mar 21, 2006 By R. Yacone
Sturdy construction. We also ordered the charger and rechargeable battery from Leapster.com. Not able to fit charger, cables, game and LMAX in the Carry-All. Must prioritize which items to pack in the back pack. About 2 more inches in depth would have allowed space for everything, without causing it to be unmanageable for small children.
