I bought this I-Dog for my 8 year old grand-daughter for Christmas. She really liked it and carried it around all day. It picked up sounds from any noise. It does take batteries so make sure you have them when you give the gift. She received a larger version and it took some time to get it working due to missing batteries. Her sister who is younger liked the dog too and bought one with her Christmas money.

MY DAUGHTER LOVED THE iDOG FROM THE MINUTE SHE OPENED UP THE PACKAGE. SHE IS ONLY 2 BUT EVERYTIME SHE WANTS TO LISTEN TO MUSIC OR DANCE SHE TURNS IT ON. ITS A GREAT GIFT FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES.

A fun "different" sort of toy for the older child to explore. For children who love music, it is entertaining and fun to play with. A good gift for the child who has everything. Easy to use and operate and comes in a variety of colours. There are also accesories to purchase for those who become avid idog admirers.

I didn't realize this one didn't allow for an MP3 player to be plugged into it. All it does is move to music it hears if set by a speaker. Seems like a good enough product, but not what I was looking for.

Product shipped very quickly and was new, in the box, as advertised. I would purchase from this seller again. I bought it for one of my grandsons, so I haven't played with it. Bur four of my other grandchildren have the same toy and enjoy it. Although the age range for the toy is 8+, several of the grandkids are younger than that (one is only 3) and the toy seems fine for them, too.
