5The Reason it breaks and how to fix it !!!!! for $2 instad of $30  Dec 19, 2008 By Carlos J. Maldonado "Nerfer"
This is a great toy I am 23 years old and have a ton of fun with my cousins playing tag with them. I bought this gun to dominate and it does the job.

IF YOU DROP THIS GUN there is a good chance that it will not work!!

There are 3 things that you can do...

A) Send to Hasbro and get a replacement gun takes about 3 weeks.

B) Forget about and waste $30

C) Open up the gun and fix it.

To fix this gun you will need to Philips head screwdriver, superglue, and something to cut plastic.

First step open the gun and keep track of the screws.

The big flaw in this gun, it is where air flow comes from the reservoir to the trigger. This connection is unsecured and just glued, so to fix it, just get some super glue and reglue this connection.

The last thing you need to do, you need to cut the small piece of plastic that supposed to connect to the other half of the gun. Otherwise the gun will not be able to be reconnected again.

I hope if you have this gun that if it breaks you can save money by trying to fix it.

5Nerf Magstrike Review- Nerf King  Jan 02, 2007
Hello. I am an experienced "nerfer", but even though I am 13, I know a lot about nerf guns. The Nerf Magstrike is a great idea for a gun; powered by pumping air into the pressure chamber. For ammunition, it uses micro-darts (darts with velcro attached to the tip used for nerf dart tag) placed in clips. The clips are then put into the slot on top of the gun. Pump the handle 10-20 times, and then hold down the trigger to fire.

Some say they have had problems with their gun. There are a couple reasons why they have had the pressure chamber crack open or isn't pumping anymore.

1. The expected pumping limit is about 10-25 pumps. When the pressure chamber is full, there will be a soft hissing sound, which means the chamber can hold no more air. If the pressure chamber is full and you keep pumping, the pressure will have no more room to expand, causing the air to rip through the plastic chamber.

2. The most fragile part of the gun is the pumping handle. If you pump to hard and are careless with the pumping rod(connected to the handle), the rod will bend, closing up the entrance to the pressure chamber, which means no air to power your gun.

Keep these in mind when you are using this gun. Overall, this is a great gun that resembles an assault rifle when it comes to shooting. The range of shots average from 10-25 feet. This is a great primary gun if you are a "nerfer" preparing for a nerf war.

Sincerely,

The Nerf King

5Awesome gun.  Sep 16, 2006
This gun is amazing. I bought it about 40 minutes before my friend came over. We had a nerf war he had a dart tag 2p gun and I had this I totally beat him. Also if you buy this get an adult to cut out the air restrictors in the back you will get a couple of more feet. One more thing, put a lot of tape on the side so the clip doesn,t fall down.

3Great fun, but NOT durable  Jan 04, 2008 By Adam
My brothers and I purchased these guns over Christmas, there are 3 of us and it was a fairly costly investment. We are all older, so size was not an issue for us.

First the gun was awesome. We ran around my parents house laughing in glee as we fired these ridiculously awesome guns at each other, sticking darts to one another with ease from across the room. And the noise it makes is amazing, sounds just like an assault rifle being recorded on your TV. It was without a doubt the greatest Nerf moment I have ever experienced.

However, the fun was short lived. After 10 min, one gun sputtered and died. Only firing the first two darts and then only when you banged on the side of the gun. Something inside was broken. We figured it might be because we were too rough with it, and stopped for a while. When I picked up my gun 2 hours later, it had completely stopped working. However the 3rd gun worked flawlessly for several days (until I went back home). But for the cost ($90 for one functioning gun) it is not worth the money.

While it worked it was hands down the most fun nerf gun ever, but only while it lasts.

5Happy 11 year olds  Jan 09, 2007 By V. Nix
I bought these as Christmas gifts for my son and all of his friends on our street. They have had a lot of fun with them. I recommend getting plenty of refills to go with these, because it is very easy to lose them outside.
