Super Cute! A hit with my 9- and 6-year old! Sep 16, 2006
By C. Seelig I have to say this is definitely one of the better made toys of this kind. It works well and my daughters have had a blast playing with it.
I was reluctant to buy this at first as we have many other similar play sets, but LPS has kept their interest more than any play set that they have because it is so unique and has many cool features to explore. It is a great alternative to Bratz and Barbies in my opinion. There are also less itty bitty pieces than Polly Pockets, which makes it easier to clean up.
Someone else posted about the multitude of rubberbands an twist ties, and I agree...there are tons! And we had a similar situation where we didn't remove all of the rubberbands so we thought one of the features wasn't working. Luckily we figured it out before returning or exchanging this toy.
Definitely highly recommended!!!

4 year old daughter loves it Jan 11, 2007
By P. Delor We purchased this item as a gift for my 4 year old daughter for Christmas. Although it took quite some time to get it out of the package (beware of little clear rubberbands!), she loves it. It doesn't come with many "animals", so we also purchased others for her to play with. She will sit and play with her LPS toys for hours. There are lots of small pieces, and they don't store too well in the playset when you close it, so I highly recommend getting a small rubbermaid box for all the lose bits to keep from losing them.

Too many twist ties and rubberbands! Still Cute though. Jul 28, 2006
By William Christopher My 3 1/2 year old daughter loves this toy. Just wanted to say that the packaging is amazing to say the least. It took me about 15 minutes to get everything "free" because there were so many rubberbands and twist ties. I actually bought one from Walmart and took it back because I thought it was broken (the center piece wouldn't turn around after I wound it up). When I got the second one home and it did the same thing, I turned it upside-down and saw a tiny rubberband I had missed. Silly me.

Littlest Pet Packaging Biggest Holiday Pain Jan 03, 2007
By Big E The Littlest Pet Shop Pet House Playset was the day's biggest hit with my 4-year-old granddaughter -- once three adults spent the better part of half an hour getting it out of the package, which was surely designed somewhere in the seventh circle of Hades.
It was boxed, taped, wired and shrink-wrapped within a millimeter of its littlest life. My poor granddaughter stood by patiently while her mother, her aunt and I wrestled, ripped and employed various implements to free the house and its many individual pieces. (Until I saw this thing up close, I thought the headache-inducing packaging for Imitrex migraine pills was the worst design ever.)
Once opened, however, my granddaughter rounded up her collection of Littlest Pets and played happily and quietly with her playset for much of the afternoon.
My other concern about the playset is that I'm certain some of the littlest pieces -- they're really itty, bitty -- will be easily lost.
