A great party game! Aug 28, 2000
By Alan R. Holyoak This game is basically a twist on the traditional game of charades. Players take turns choosing four cards, each of which have two words on them -- an easier one and a tougher one (for less and more points respectively). They then place those cards in a card holder that has a wind up timer in it. When the timer starts the person has to do things to get their team to say the word on the card. When they do so, the player grabs the card and pulls it out of the timer unit. If it takes too long for the team to guess the word the card drops down into the timer unit and those points are lost to the team. It's a gas to watch people grabbing for falling cards and seeing their faces as they see the card slip out of sight! My family and I love to play this game. It works well for players of many ages (including children). The range of questions makes this game workable for children from about age 8 or so on up. It also works well as a party game for older folks. Great stuff, great fun, but doesn't really teach you all that much -- oh well, not every game has to do that! Have fun. Alan Holyoak

GREAT PARTY GAME Nov 24, 1999 Like to get loud and laugh? Need something to liven the crowd and lower inhibitions? Love charades but have a hard time coming up with catergories and clues? Then this is your game! Fast paced hilarity for all, can really get everyone involved. 2 to 4 teams of any size. A favorite of our game night crowd.

Charades is actually fun when you have an insane time limit! Feb 08, 2000 Take Charades, but remove all its bad bits: rounds going on forever; the mime making signals to basically spell out the answer, instead of cleverly depict it; waiting for the mime to come up with a puzzle. This gives you Guesstures. Guesstures is a brilliantly simple boiling down of charades that is hilariously fun (especially if you have a pet who gets excited at short outbursts). The mime gets four cards, and for each must choose the easier or harder word. Of course, the harder words earn more points: The mime also gets to choose the order the cards will be attempted. The real catch and the desperate excitement is that as the timer runs down, the cards drop out of reach one by one; so if the mime's first card goes quickly, she grabs it, and has extra time for the later ones. If, however, the first card goes slowly, and drops out of sight, she's stuck with less time for the later cards, and the foreboding suspicion that the card is going to drop just as she grabs for it. In the latter case, a player's turn as the mime can feel a bit defeating, but the high-quality, high-entertainment performances from the mimes forced by the incredibly short time limits more than make up for it, because they keep this game very entertaining, and the players exuberant. It is a perfect high-energy party game.

Easy, Fun, and Duplicate Jan 19, 2001
By William Jacobs This is simply charades with rules, which is both good and bad. There are two sets of word / phrase cards, one with more difficult words / phrases that are worth more. Every card has two words / phrases, one more difficult and rewarding. They're placed in a thing that makes the cards fall one by one. You have to get your team to guess what you're acting and quickly grab the card. I think it's better without keeping score. This is a pretty good party game. I recommend it for any group of 3 or more friends or family members, especially one that can't come up with any charades things to act.

This one will challenge your mind and body! Aug 06, 1999 Even the most reserved person will get caught up in the fast paced excitement of this game. When my team couldn't get "ceiling" I just had to jump a little higher pointing it out. I won't even tell you what a friend did to make us guess "fire hydrant!" We laughed until our sides ached. What a great game!
