 Avoid this Jigsaw Puzzle Sep 14, 2008

My 5-year old loves jigsaw puzzles. But this one, sold by University Games Corp. in San Francisco, CA is so poorly made that I doubt any kid would have much fun with it.
The pieces are quite large, 2.5" x 3", but of such thin cardboard that none of the interlocks will work, therefore the pieces do not stay together. Even when the puzzle is nearly complete, the pieces will detach from one another at the slightest touch. And if it's hard for a 5-year old, how bad must it be for a 3-year old?

These puzzles are great! I used them in a class of three year d children. They proved to be a challenge and provide a great vehicle for teacher student interaction to happen.
