Slow warmup, good light Oct 29, 2008
By Robert Neidorff My first impression of this light is that it warms up VERY slowly. It takes over 60 seconds before it puts out usable light. After that warm-up period, light output is very good, comparable with a 120watt MISER halogen flood. Perhaps the color is a bit more blueish, but that's subtle and subjective. Overall, after one week, I'm happy with the light, but I find myself leaving it on more than I should because it is so slow to restart once I turn it off.

Unbelievable Warm White and Bright! Feb 29, 2008
By Rob Alfieri At first I was skeptical, but when I put this CFL flood into my outdoor lighting, I was truly amazed! The lumens are higher than the halogens I previously used. I'm looking forward to the lower energy costs and longer life these will bring. At $7-8, they are a bargain. I'm going to use them in all my outdoor lighting. Try one. You'll be convinced!

Great Green Solution Nov 18, 2007
By G. Naylor
"GMoney"
These are great for outdoor use. Hard to find a CF that has a cold weather balast, but these seem to. They take a few seconds to warm up and get fully bright, but it doesn't bother me. I use them in the flood lights that light up the back yard. They replaced 120 watt standard flood lights and you really can't tell the difference. Great energy saver, and that makes me feel better leaving the lights on at night for security.
Bright lights when warmed up Jun 17, 2010
By T. Lewis These lights are okay. They are extremely bright once they are warmed up. The thing I do not like is the length of time of warm up. Even on the hot summer nights, it takes a few minutes to warm up. Definitely not an instant startup for full brightness. The winter season, I understand the warm up time, but not in the summer.

Will not fit in outdoor lamp holder. Jan 24, 2010
By Phillip H. Tedder
"Disappointed"
Base of bulb not long enough to fit in outdoor lamp holder. You must buy a socket extender to make bulb fit. Not pleased at all. Have to spend extra money just to use bulb in outdoor lamp holder.
