great for my 6yr old Oct 22, 2005
By mom of 2boys
"all"
I just bought this toy for my sons, ages 3 and 6. My six year old absolutely loves it! He has no problem following the directions the toy "speaks" out. You have to follow the directions in order for the game to work the right way. And this is actually a game which I didn't really know when I bought. YOu have to "battle" to win in each of the 4 environments. Once you have won in all 4 areas you are the winner. My three year old really likes it to but it is more difficult for him to follow the directions. When I help him it's no problem and he does enjoy it. He does just play around with it his own way though so he could care less about the directions. He doesn't exactly understand it though. I do think it would be better for at least a 4yr old, probably a 5yr old. My 6yr old can play it without any help from an adult which I like. If you buy this make sure to buy some more figures to go along with it. It comes with two but the outcome would basically be the same over and over. The other figures come in sets of two and they are not expensive. WE have 6 total which gives the boys 12 halves. This gives them lots of options. I would definitely recommend this toy.

Great toy for my 4 year old and his 2 year old sister! Nov 22, 2005
By Katy S. I read the above reviews. My son plays with this toy all the time. He'll play for 30 minutes at a time. The key to this game is making sure you purchase the other "fusion crews". This game only comes with 2 fusion crews--which will quick limit the fun. After buying 6 more fusion guys (all with different themes) the fun really begans! I have a 2 year old who loves to play this game with her brother too! I especially like how the kids can't see the fusion guys fight. No violance. The dome covers the players and all the kids see are lights flashing insde the dome-- the flashing lights create shadows of the fighters to make them appear to be fighting. The kids really don't know who wins until the announcer tells them. They seem to like that part best ---as they get to Flush the loser! Get it...your kid(s) will love it.

Fusion Crew Figure Recognition Disappointment Feb 13, 2006
By Marcia A. Stroud
"Grandson(s) spoiler"
My twin grandsons (4 years old)love this toy but after just one month the two figures that came with the dome quit being recognized. We went out and bought what additional figures we could find after Christmas, but they want the original two to work as they are the favorites (these cannot be bought separately). Company needs to work on perfecting the bar codes to be recognized for longer than a month! Plus they need to make more figures available in the stores year round, not just at Christmas.

There are pieces to be found! Dec 23, 2006
By Yolanda Fazzalari Forcina My 5 year old son really enjoyed playing with the fusion crew pieces and I finally got the fusion dome and he loves it. I was able to buy the Fusion Dome and all of the fusion crew pieces at Dollar stores. I paid $7.99 for the dome at Conways and $1.50 for a pair of figures at the Dollar store. I paid a total of less than $30.00 for what would have cost $100.00. For those of you that want extra fusion crew figures, check out your Dollar stores and Conways. Your kids will thank you for it!

My son loves this! (and so does Dad) Jun 26, 2006
By snealmama I wish they were still making the Fusion Crew creatures because they made wonderful behavior incentives for my 5 year old son. This game works something like one of those trading card games. My husband used to play "Magic" when he was in college so enjoys the Fusion Dome with my son. You stick critter halves together to create your own creature and then compete with the other player. The dome talks you through the process and anounces the name of the creatures by reading a bar code. There are lights and sounds and the loser gets "flushed" down the shoot. My son can be pretty hard on his toys and this one seems to be holding up well.
