This loveable, cuddly baby lion was born in the wild, and now she needs your love and care. She's very sleepy, so wake her up gently. Give your newborn lots of love and affection by petting the soft fur on her back. Then watch your baby cub sit up, open her eyes and make cute baby cub sounds...or even give a little roar. Keep petting, and your cub becomes more playful. But if you stop petting her, she'll lie her head down and go back to sleep. The more you love your cub, the more she'll respond to you. Comes with special adoption certificate. Requires 3 "AAA" batteries (not included).

4Lots of fun.  Apr 21, 2006
I have 9 of these, little guys, two cats and the rest of them are dogs.

They are not very durable, but seem to be able to fall on the ground(From about three feet)And still work the same.

They make real-a-listic sounds, and are very fun.

I rated educational value as 3,as they are just toys.

I hope you buy it!

3Fur Real Friend: Lion Cub  Mar 31, 2006 By Suziey Buxum "Lizard Lover"
I think they are just trying to make more money by making all these baby animals. Like the nweborn dog, cat, bear, and bunny. Now a lion.

They all do the same thing, and even that, I think, is not really anything. For a small child I can see how they like the (ie; newborn dog) dog because they can carry it around, pet it, ect. But one thing that I find a little wierd is that they are hard on the inside. Hello, maunfacturers! Most little kids like to sleep with their toys! Make a dog plushier next time!

But I do think they captured the aspect of a newborn dog/cat/bear/rabbit very well: they don't really do anything.

5My daughter loves this toy  Jan 20, 2007 By Suzi Rank
My daughter (2) actually fell in love with one of these on display at Target and was heartbroken when we found out they had been sold out of them for weeks.

She plays with her "kitty" all the time, and often the rest of us are tempted to pet it just to hear the cute noises it makes. The only annoying thing is the mechanical noises it makes when it's moving, but I guess that can't be helped.

4Meow Meow Roar  Apr 25, 2006
I think my "Newborn Cub" is very cute, but whenever I pet it it meows and roars 1,000,000.times.........but I still like it very much.Don't tell that to Leioana shhhh.

3Fur Real Baby Lion Cub  Jul 13, 2010 By Toni
My 11yo dd enjoyed this toy initially, but it quickly became just another cute "stuffed animal" on the pile. She does play with it and definitely enjoys it at those times, but it's not among her very favorite of toys. I think it might appeal more to a child of perhaps 5 or 6 years old. It IS quite durable as toys go.
