SO much fun for the kids! We LOVE this toy! Dec 23, 2007

We bought this for our 3 yr old son about 9 months ago. It is tons of fun for him! The plane is foam so it has a couple tooth marks from his baby sister but it doesn't seem to affect function so thats good. Overall pretty durable. He took it to preschool for show and tell and it caused such an uproar with the kids that they had to end show and tell early - hehehe. We have given this toy as gifts to some of his friends and it has always been greeted with a ton of excitement! The base does require 3 AA batteries, however they last a long time. (that may be the problem w/the other reviewer's toy who said the base stopped working?). I have had to explain a couple times to each kid that has gotten the toy that if you want the lights and sounds to work you have to just snap the plane on the front (don't push it all the way back) and then shake, the toy does the rest as you shake it. If you push the plane past the first click then you have to push it all the way back yourself. Once the kids see how it works they have all been able to do it with no further instruction. Overall a wonderful toy and we highly recommend it!

My kids loved this until the base stopped working after a month. It was fun while it lasted.

POOR DESIGN!!!! Jun 24, 2007
By amy s MY 3 YEAR OLD SON LOVES PLANES. SO WHEN THIS CAME OUT WE JUST HAD TO HAVE IT. WE PURCHASED IT AT TOYS R US FOR 14.99. THE PLANE IS MADE OF CHEAP GLUED TOGETHER FOAM. MY SON COULD NOT GET THE HANG OF JUST PUTTING THE PLANE ON THE "HEAVY" BASE AND PULLING IT A LITTLE THEN LETTING THE SHAKING ACTION TAKE OVER THE REST. WITH-IN 1 HOUR THE PLANE WAS PULLED IN TWO PIECES AND THE TOY USELESS! I CALLED FISHER PRICE AND THEY MAILED ME ANOTHER CHEAP GREEN PLANE! IT BROKE WITHIN AN HOUR AND I RETURNED THE PIECE OF JUNK BACK TO THE STORE AND RECEIVED A REFUND. THE BASE IS VERY HEAVY AND WELL MADE. SOUNDS ARE NICE, THE ACTION A LITTLE SLOW. DOES NOT FLY HIGH, TAKES MORE TIME TO LOAD THAN WORTH IT. THIS IS NOT FOR A 3 YEAR OLD BUT MORE FOR A 5 YEAR OR OLD. THEY NEED TO REDESIGN THE PLANE.

Has been great for us Aug 15, 2009
By K. Martinez I read a lot of bad reviews on this product, so I did not get it for my nephews for Christmas last year. However, my son received one as a gift, and we have loved it! I kept reading that the plane was not durable enough and tore easily, so I made sure to tell my sons to follow the instructions and handle it gently. My 3 year old has had no problems, and he is usually quite rough with toys. When we first opened it we made the mistake of pulling it all the way back, but it launched anyway after we shook it. It has honestly been one of the favorite toys that my children have gotten, and I do not have to assist them with it in any way. I just can't figure out why they are selling these for 30-50 dollars when they were under 20 last year. It's frustrating, because I was hoping to get them for all the nephews this year!

Cheap and fun Nov 22, 2008

My nephews loved these things. They were so cheap i bought extra so in case they broke they would have backups. My sister said they were fairly durable though. good investment regardless because the kids had hours of fun with them.
