Needs replacement planes Oct 20, 2007
By T. Pucciano
"mom"
We got this plane as a gift for my son's birthday and thought it was great, however after 1 day of play the tail broke off of the plane and the body of the plane is torn. I went in search of replacement planes and there are no replacements. I would have bought replacements if they had been available. Now I get to listen to my son cry because he wants a new airplane. Thanks fisher price.

Please call Fisher Price if the plane breaks!!!!! Jan 08, 2008
By Heidi Streetman We purchased this plane for our son when he turned 4. Within minutes, the plane was torn in two pieces. However, it was not being abused-- just played with as it shows on the box and instructions. The instructions are not terribly clear, and as reviewed below, the plane is not as sturdy as the base. I called Fisher Price and was quickly informed that they had sold more than a million with FEW complaints. I was also told that the plane was made lightweight deliberately in order to make it fly faster and farther. They DID send me a new plane rather quickly free-of-charge, and I carefully taught my boys how to barely load it on until it clicks. We haven't had any trouble with the new plane. To those reviewing this item-- if the plane breaks, please call Fisher Price. They will most likely send a new plane, and they may get the message that the plane should be sturdier. After all, it is marketed for little boys!!! We're not buying porcelain tea sets here-- just fun toys for boys!!! I would not discourage someone from buying this plane as it is fun and it does fly well! I would just encourage the buyer to take some time to make sure their children understand that the plane has to be treated gently, not yanked onto the track! Happy flying!!

GREAT TOY BUT NO LONGEIVITY WITHOUT REPLACEMENT PLANES May 27, 2007
By Lyn This is a great idea and works greats at first. Our 4 year old son loves it. But, we just bought it last night and upon seeing how much he liked it I immediately looked to see if replacement planes could be purchased. It is clear from the start that the foam plane won't last long even though the launcher is very sturdy. Sure enough, by this afternoon my son is now launching a plane that is torn and has lost its tail. This should come with several planes or a replacement pack should be sold. The toy is a great idea but the plane won't last.

Great toy but parents have to show how it is done Feb 10, 2008
By Steve Marlborough I bought this toy for my son 6 weeks ago and it is the coolest thing I have seen in a long time. I see bad reviews and nearly all stem from people misusing the toy. If you hand cock the toy pulling the plane by the tail it will tear easily. Apparently, people cannot read or understand the toy cocks itself! Show your child to grasp the plane by the nose and push it into the channel and it will begin to cock itself. You have to shake the holder 4 times for it to fully wind up. My two year old has launched this thing over and over with no problems. He wouldn't otherwise is unable to cock toy like the foam dart guns. I logged on to this site to buy 3 more so the kids can launch the planes back and forth. By the way, the planes are fragile because are built of soft foam to keep them completely harmless-we shoot it around the house all the time.

Shake 'n Go Flyer not easy to use but lots of fun Jan 20, 2008
By K. Erickson This is an excellent toy for under 5 yrs old kids and dads to share together. While the launcher isn't easy for younger boys to operate by themselves, dads will find it easy to prep for their sons to launch-a 'together' kind of toy for youngsters and fathers.
