 Operates in forward AND reverse! Mar 01, 2008

My son just received this for his 4th birthday. It's a great addition to his Geotrax set. He has 2 other remote trains but they only operate in forward motion. This one operates in both forward AND reverse! The engine and one of the cars has a compartment that can be opened and closed which is an added "fun" feature. The set also came with a little figure ("Wil") and a piece of cargo to haul around. For some reason Fisher Price decided to make this remote a bit noisier than his other remotes which I find to be a bit annoying but of course it doesn't bother my son in the slightest. Another good job from Fisher Price and Geotrax!

I bought this for my 2 year old, but her 6 year old brother loves it too! We use it on our train table that use to be for a wooden set. It fits nicely and they enjoy "racing" two trains. Away from the track it isn't as much fun because it only goes forward and backward - but they still really enjoy it.

I bought this as a replacement for the engine from the Starter Set after it quite working. Now that was a great engine! This one, unfortunately, is not worth much. It has very little power and pulls it's cars really slowly around the track. It acts like it is running on nearly depleted batteries, even though we have used brand new high quality batteries. It can JUST barely pull itself up an incline. For the amount of money they want for these, I don't feel it is even worth it to try another one. We will be switching to a different kind of train set. Too bad, because this one has some great accessories.

I bought the GeoTrax for my 4 yr. old grandson in Chicago for Christmas 2011. He definitely wanted the GeoTrax and, loved it from the moment he opened it.

I was very pleased with the condition of this train, having been a used toy. It was in like new condition other than having a bit of the paint worn on the remote it looks and works like new. This was my first shopping experience with Amazon and won't be my last.
