It works about every other time! It's not just this brand, ALL card shufflers are made very poorly. We use three (3) decks of card for particular game and find it's almost less frustrating to mix by hand. Usually one side jams up per shuffle.

This product is great for family card games. We bought 3 of them and have only used 1 so far. It works good except for the belt that draws the cards in on 1 side is too low and it draws card from that side much slower thereby created a somewhat unequal shuffle so you have to repeat the process more times than you would have to if it worked properly.

I would rate this product 3 1/2 stars if possible. We use this for Killer Bunnies and Munchkin.
Pros:
-Greatly cuts time for shuffling
-AA batteries sets it apart from the other shufflers since you can use rechargeable batteries.
Cons:
-If using thicker then normal card stock (killer bunnies, magic the gathering, etc.) you have to pay very close attention to the cards on both sides, and half the time or more gently lift one side slightly for a second to relieve an issue of cards stuck from hitting straight on in the center.
-The clear part you see in the picture is made of plastic, and the face of it is thin and breaks easily. You have to leave it out slightly or it almost breaks when removing it.

I had ordered two, one for me and one for my friend. The one works great and the other the batteries kept falling out. The little trap door would not stay latched. I have sent it back for a replacement.

This product does shuffle but the left side finishes about 15 cards before the right side and it will sometimes turn a card over and nearly always has a card or two standing up on the side walls.
