Fact: it's crap. Mar 09, 2006
By Archturiat Baumann The world does not need another trivia game, where a well-timed "guess" can win over legitimate knowledge of a subject.
That, in a nutshell, is about all you need to know about Fact or Crap.
What's worse is: some of the questions are poorly worded, and will no doubt result in an argument that will only be solved by (in the best case) somebody whipping out their web-enabled cell phone and Googling the subject or (in the worst case) somebody leaving the game upset.
Case in point: A question said (paraphrased) "Nails grow throught one's life", and the answer was "crap", with no explanation given. This resulted in a bit of an argument, and we still don't know what the truth is. The card wound up being removed from the game.
Every time you play this game, you will have one of these questions.
This game is tedious, and cheaply made to boot. The "tokens" are simply cardboard punchouts. The cards are not quality laminated cardstock like you'd get in a game like Trivial Pursuit. There are plenty of better trivia games, sold at a lower price, with better construction.
On the plus side: it is easy to find a used copy...

not worth it Jan 07, 2003

boring - a one note game. this could have been a card game - i thought it would be more involved. when you guess something correctly, you get a token and once the tokens are gone, you count them up and whoever has the most wins. the only twist is a kind of lightning round, but it's not enough to keep it interesting. the questions are cute, but the novelty wears off sooner than later. Balderdash is more fun...sitting around without a game and talking is more fun.

Get Hooked Jan 06, 2003 If you love trivia, you have got to get this game! It's fast, easy, and there is no board to have to deal with. You can play singles or doubles. I just wish there were additional cards that we can buy as we have gone through all the cards several times. You will have hours of fun, but I feel the questions are too hard for children.

Boring! Apr 01, 2006
By Colleen McKinney This game had good questions, but that was all. It was a very slow game and we decided to just ask the questions on the cards and forget about the little chips. I played the game twice the whole time that I have had it, and that has been for a couple years now. It is not worth the money at all. I have even tried to give this game away and nobody will take it. I will eventually give it to Good Will.

Fact: fact or crap is a crappy game Jul 14, 2010
By Ondrea F. Tricaso We found several cards that had dubious statements listed as either fact or crap. We decided to challenge some of these and discovered that the makers of these cards are full of crap. I don't know how they checked their facts or if they checked their facts, but we have made a game of finding errors. Believe me, we've been very busy. Most facts can be easily verified or challenged through a simple internet check. My 9 year old nephew has found that the astronomy statements are the most inaccurate. What a bust! Now I'm embarrassed that I purchased this game for a neighbor last Christmas. Their family is probably getting dumber each time they play.
