Perfect Princess flashlight. Oct 20, 2006
By Barbara Millet It is well made, and a kids flashlight, whoa! What a concept! This adorable flashlight also includes little side gems that light up beautifully on the wall as well. My daughter keeps this flashlight by her side everynight. We've dropped it many times, and it's never failed us!

Adequate for children to play with Oct 02, 2009
By Ed Ever since my child was very young, they played with my flashlights. The problem was that my flashlights were actually very nice multi-LED flashlights. My worry was that they would shine the light on themselves or someone else and hurt their eyes. I bought this flashlight on a whim, as a treat for my child and they love it.
First and foremost, the bulb on this Disney-branded Energizer flashlight is not so bright that I worry too much about my child hurting themselves or others. It's a good way for me to teach them to not shine a flashlight in someone's face. It's already been taken away countless times, but they eventually get it back :)
The flashlight is reasonably durable but the lens is very flimsy. I also don't know if the bulb will last that long. It takes 2 AA batteries, has a strap on the end with a pink jewel and the bezel has 8 pink jewels that light up as well. I would have preferred a smooth round bezel as opposed to the jagged one, but they are not that sharp. The jagged bezels remind me of personal defense flashlights.
The Energizer Disney Princess Light is good enough for playing in a tent or under blankets but not for walking around in the woods. All in all, a fairly decent light for young children who like Disney characters.

Great if it worked Jan 10, 2007

This was the one thing my daughter wanted from Santa. She absolutely loves it which is the great thing. However, it broke within one day of opening it. We went for a Christmas walk and my daughter proudly held her new flashlight, and then with no warning (and new batteries) it completely died. If it worked I'd give it 5 stars, but something shouldn't fail that quickly on brand new batteries that were installed correctly.
...and going...and going... Dec 02, 2012
By she cant sleep w/o it! My daughter has REALLY put this light to the test. She can't sleep without it. In the morning and sometimes later the next night I see that it has been left on...about a year now and the battery life of this thing just keeps me amazed. Sure its dim, but it is very good at not wasting battery, unlike my kids. She drops it, the kids have "battles"... she even dropped it in the potty once! Hubby opened it up and dried it out. It still woeks great! Couldn't be happier. The Toy Story one is equally great.

My 5.5 year old daughter has had this flashlight for about a year and a half and it works very well. It's bright enough to be useful walking outside in the dark, rather than other kids' flashlights that we have had (which were just toys and not functional).
It has held up, even with her 2 year old brother using it as well. I'm planning to get the exact same kind in another design for him for Christmas.
