This is the cheapest piece of crap I have ever purchased. I bought it at Michaels for only $[...] bucks (the price on Amazon is outrageous). It does not work. The drill bit is the equivalent of trying to drill a hole through a rock with your finger. This is junk and should be taken off the market, you'd have better luck taking a screwdriver and trying to bore a whole in a rock with that!!! You've been warned! This is a total waste of money.

This product is garbage!! I wouldn't even give it one star. Anyway, I purchased one for my wife from Hobby Lobby (on sale) this past Christmas. It stopped working after a few drilling attempts, which also didn't work (as in the drill bit didn't even make it through a small stone). I thought it would be a fun item for my wife as she loves to make her own jewelry with stones and glass she finds all over the world. However, all she got was frustration and what turned out to be a "bust" of a Christmas gift. Very dissapointing but glad I had other items for her.

We bought this for our son for his BIRTHDAY because it combined his two favorite hobbies: Rock collecting and jewelry making. We purchased a rock tumbler along with it at Michaels, knowing he would love to tumble his own rocks and then turn them into beautiful keychains or what have you. We used a thin rock that came with the drill, and set out working on our family project. The instructions say this could take up to 15 minutes for harder rocks. Well, after 3 days and over an hour of effort, we were forced to quit because the motor completely stopped working. We had left the set up as it sat so we could continue at a later time, which caused the water sensor pin to rust. When we took the rock out of the set up to check the progress after an hour or so of drilling, it had barely left the smallest dimple in the rock. Nice. Imagine my son's disappointment when his "favorite gift" turned out to be a complete piece of crap.

I bought this from Hobby Lobby on clearance. My kids and I were very excited about it. First off, when we opened the package the first drill bit was already broke. We changed the bit and tried several crystals, even the small ultra thin ones. Not a single one drilled through. Every time it would actually attempt to drill the crystal the drill would stop running as if too much pressure was put on it and made the motor stop. The concept is great but this product is horrible. It does not work! And is not worth the time it is going to take to return it to the store.

This gadget does not work. Plain and simple- do not buy it. The box looks cool and the concept is a good one- but it stops there. First of all, we could not get the power to work. So we stopped after a half hour of frustration. Thats all I can say since it never actually functioned. Avoid this product.
