The LIFE of the party!!! Nov 14, 2008
By Andrea Y. Adams

This is one of the best things I got here at Amazon. Forget about how one of the mics has a wire... it's a LONG one. It comes with over 2 thousand songs and the book of songs in a cool leather pouch. This is great at BBQs, Parties of all kinds and even when you are bored home. I like how it scores you in 3 different ways depending how you programme it: Amateur, professional and "in between". You can record your voice singing ur fav song and you can compete and the monitor will tell you who won. I lOVED it and it's a HIT in my house. Done with scratched cds and lost chips.

Fun and easy to use Dec 30, 2008

Lots of fun. I was very surprised to learn that the song selections were very modern. Songs by Madonna, Blink 182 and more. There are two cons: The duet function is not as sophisticated as other Karaoke systems. It does in fact allow two people to sing at the same time, but to truly sing a duet it does not have the separate male and female coloring on the screen. Another down fall is that it does not give you the ability to listen to the artist sing the song in the background for learning purposes. There are many songs that I don't know and it would be nice to be able to hear the song in the back ground while I sing so that I can follow along. Other wise great product. Had I known that this product did not have these features, I don't think I would have purchased it.

Magic sing kareoke microphones Jan 25, 2011
By Dissappointed These microphones have horrible sound quality. There are no back up locals and the instruments used are harmonicas and an organ. I returned mine and they charged me a 20% restocking fee when THEIR PRODUCT SUCKED! I bought a $60 one at best buy that was 10x better!!! They are shady and then when I called she assured me they would waive the restocking fee after 20 mins of me explaining how ridiculous it was and they didn't honor it. I only was credited a fraction of what I paid!! Bad business practices!

From a Karaoke Addict May 15, 2011
By ADP This product is really quite excellent at what it does. The mic output is great and it fits plenty of songs per chip (which are actually stored within the mic's memory, so it doesn't take up one of the four add-on memory slots). It also has a great companion mic for duets.
Downsides:
* Menu interface is clunky. I'd like to see this cleaned up with a more intuitive interface. You'll be forced to open up a menu bar, then select left/right directional buttons, then use the play button to select. I'd rather have actual "confirm" and "exit" buttons; not re-purposed play button.
* Searching for songs (if you're not directly using the book reference numbers) is a pain. There's a perfectly good number pad on the mic itself, but you're forced to use some strange "dial 1 x 1 for a, 1 x 9 for i" nonsense that slows down the main purpose for having the mic (singing!). It's a bummer, seriously, and could take notes from how old-fashion phones designate numbers to letter groupings.
* Output is LQ midi format, which tends to make the songs sound like 16-bit videogame reproductions, but hey, can't complain too much when it comes with 1000 songs built in.
* Additional song chips contain A LOT of the built-in songs. I created excel sheets with all of the listed songs, and the RnB and Pop-related memory chips contain (respectively) 80-60 percent of the songs already included on the built-in cheap. Talk about a waste of money. They should either allow custom chips, where you can choose from a selection of 500 songs and have it saved to a custom chip, or actually have songs on separate chips that DO NOT overlap with other chips. I can safely speak for all customers in that I do not want 5-6 copies of the same song.

ED-9000 Party Package with Duet Microphone Dec 28, 2010
By Sheryl This Karaoke machine set up was so easy to hook up. The store ran out of the 8000 version and were kind enough to upgrade it to the 9000 package. It also arrived on time and packaging was neatly done and arrived in one piece.
We had a chance to use our new toy and we just love the ED-9000 Party Package with Duet Microphone! I think its a great buy! More bang for your buck!!!
The only thing I would "con" on this item are some of the songs.. there are a some that aren't "fun" to sing.. and it isnt really that updated. Too much old songs not enough modern songs.
