As with other familiar games from Monopoly to Chutes & Ladders, there are plenty of versions of Clue currently on the market, stretching across a multitude of themes and characters. But while the basic game play is the same, there are some style points scored here by the nicely detailed Victorian costumes and by the clever premise that if one succeeds, one gets to leave the haunted mansion. Though there are no dead bodies as in the original (unless you count the ghosts), the haunting aspect may scare younger players and the game is probably best enjoyed by kids age eight and up. --Charlie Williams | | | |

Takes the bite out of Clue Apr 07, 2005
By Bruce Aguilar It's the classic game of Clue the Disney way! What does that mean exactly? Well for starters you play as either Pluto, Goofy, Diasy, Donald, Minnie or Mickey. Additionally, instead of finding out who murdered Mr. Body, you try to figure out who got scared, by which ghost and in which room of the Haunted Mansion. So instead of the classic Clue weapons you get six glow-in-the-dark ghosts. Kids love these ghosts and I must admit that making them glow in the dark was a great idea.
Gameplay is just like classic Clue with players moving aaround the mansion, making guesses and taking notes on their detective pads. The tin the game comes in is rather sturdy and has held up well in the months I've had the game.
This is a great game for Disney and Clue fans of all ages. Something that the entire family can enjoy together. However, I must admit to liking classic Clue better. The scaring motif takes away the dark tone, tension and urgency of the original. But I guess that should be expected of a Disney version of this game.

Dark and challenging for Disney fans of all ages. Jul 28, 2005
By Mariah Monokee Excellent spin on the traditional Clue game with Disney's Haunted Mansion and characters replacing the originals. No murders here, just "haunts" by fun-loving spirits. Some may object to the occult-overtones and "dark" flavor of the game, but most will enjoy the game in the "spirit" in which it was intended. Good, clean, engaging fun for the whole family.

No Issues with Product but Price Jan 21, 2011
By Shell4wingz $199.99? That is a ridiculous price for this game, and I hope this is a mistake. I live near the theme parks themselves and even in the parks, they aren't NEARLY as expensive. You can buy it there for about $30, give or take a few bucks. If you like Clue, it's a great game, but this is outrageous. It's not even a Collector's Edition or anything, which would understandably up the price SOME, but this is 6x the normal price of a regular game and nearly 4x a collector's edition price. Come on now, stop trying to cheat people out of their money.
Great Take on a Classic Game Dec 06, 2010
By NW I was so happy to have found this game at a reasonable price as Disney no longer produces it. It was used, but the seller was nice enough to insert copies of the clue sheets for game play. You play it like the classic clue game but Disney theme which is a fun spin on it. For any of you who have never played Clue, it teaches you how to use logic and reasoning.

Excellent game Sep 21, 2009
By Adam Merkley Very fun game. We bought it in Disneyland for $40. What is up with the attempt at selling this for more than $100?!? It's a board game. Even the Disneyland Edition one was only $40. If you want it and know anyone going to Disneyland, give them $50 and have them pick you up one. Don't waste more money than that.
The game itself is just like Clue, but the Disney characters get "spooked" by Haunted Mansion ghosts instead of getting killed using different weapons. Very nice for the "less-violent" homes and younger children. :)
