Corpse Bride carries on the dark, romantic tradition of Tim Burton's classic films. Set in a 19th century European village, this sop-motion animated film follows the story of Victor, a young man who is whisked away to the underworld and wed to a mysterious Corpse Bride, while his real bride, Victoria, waits bereft in the land of the living. Though life in the Land of the Dead proves to be a lot more colorful than his strict upbringing, Victor learns that there is nothing in this world - or the next that can keep him away form his one true love. Recreate Tim Burton's stories with the Skeleton Girl and Boy figures. Set include 2 figures, display stand and accessories. Figures measure 2.5" tall.

3Fun little set.  May 30, 2006 By Peach
After colleting a few of McFarlane's Corpse Bride figures, I was happy to add the skeleton kids. These two are great because they come packaged together, so you're getting two figures for the price of one. They both come with little pegs that go into their back that help them to stand on the base. The little boy can actually stand on his own on a flat surface, but you'll want to use the peg so he can stand on the bumpy base. His sister's legs are as thin as wires, so you'll need the peg to keep her up. They come with three accessories: a boat (with a little rope attached to it), a bottle, and a football. The boat can, carefully, be attached to the base, but the bottle and ball have to be held. The girl can hold either, but the boy's arms are too far apart to hold the items, so you'll want to make sure you don't lose any of the pieces.

The one down side to these figures is that they have very little articulation. They both have ball jointed necks (meaning they're heads can sort of swivel around), and cut shoulders, but that's it. Their legs don't move, so don't touch them if you don't want them to break.

Had these figures come with a few more moving joints and places to put the accessories on the base they would have scored a bit higher, but as they are, they're still a great buy and a wonderful addition to other Corpse Bride toys.

5A CUTE & FUN LITTLE SET  Sep 12, 2006 By Linda K. Paff
WELL I THINK THIS SET IS ADORABLE & I DO NOT THINK THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. BUT PARENTS WHO DO NOT THINK THIS TOY IS RIGHT FOR THEIR CHILDREN SHOULD NOT *BUY* IT FOR THEIR CHILDREN. HOWEVER, AS A COLLECTOR I THINK THIS IS A NICE PIECE TO ADD TO MY COLLECTION ESPECIALLY SINCE I LIKE UNIQUE & UNUSUAL THINGS. AND I ALSO ENJOY THE WORKS OF TIM BURTON INCLUDING THE MOVIE "CORPSE BRIDE". I GIVE THIS PIECE A 5. IT HAS BEEN HIGHLY!!!! UNDERRATED HERE!

5Y OU HAVE TO HAVE SEEN THE MOVIE!  Dec 22, 2008 By L.Mendez-Flores "Learning Grandma"
My grandchild asked for this. I thought it a bizarre present. It came well packaged and in pristine condition. The child plays with them and makes things for them such as beds, toys and a car. It's her imagination that makes this toy worthwhile.(I should have seen the movie.)

5Don't Know why these got any bad reviews! They are great!  Sep 22, 2006 By Bebe Jumeau
I purchased these because I saw the film and thought my neices would enjoy them-- they thought the Skeleton Children were very funny and sweet and these figures are an exact likeness of them. My neices were overjoyed with them and have been playing with them non stop for over a week now. They have held up beautifully - no breakage or chipping or anything. I think, perhaps those that complained about the durability are raising children that are rougher than most on things. There is no toy on earth that can withstand every childs rough handling. One of my neices is like that- and the other is very careful with everything. Neither of them have broken their Skeleton children. I believe breaking toys can be a hard lesson- but an important one. Children should learn to pick up their own rooms, manage their own money, and yes- take care of their belongings. In some cases toy compnaies do indeed make very cheezy merchandise- but I really have to say that is NOT the case here. The arms are very skinny but are made of something flexible. The legs do seem like they could snap off easily, but my "rough handling" neice has not had a broken leg yet after taking them to school with her and everything. I did tell her, when I gave these to her that I thought the legs were might be fragile and to be careful, so maybe that is all that is needed. At any rate , the figures have brought them alot of joy and I even bought a set for me because they look so cute on my computer!

1SICK!!!  May 29, 2006 By Nancy Luckinson
Are mothers actually buying these?! According to the manufacturer, this toy is for ages 5 and up - what parents would give a corpse doll to the child to play with? SICKENING!!!
