fun for kids but very cheaply made May 02, 2009 We bought this toy for our 4 yr old daughter and she loves playing with it, but everytime you open it or touch anything it falls apart. Its alot of work b/c you are constantly putting it back together. It is fun and a great concept, but I would look for something more durable.
My daughter loves it Mar 31, 2009 My daughter loves it ! Hse has had it for 3 years now and she is still playing with it and the music still works for the hot tub so this was worth every dime
Do not buy, this toy doesn't stay together! Feb 22, 2009 My 5 yr old daughter got this for Christmas. This toy is terrible.
It is always falling apart. My daughter cries each time it "breaks". She takes very good care of her toys so it is so disappointing to see this toy continually fall apart. I am ready to throw it out!
This toy is garbage! Jan 18, 2009 My daughter received this item as a gift this past Christmas, and initially I was excited for her, remembering back to my days when I played FOR HOURS with my "Barbie Country Camper" (back in the 70's). Well, to say that they don't make toys like they used to is a HUGE understatement as far as this toy is concerned. The pieces are poorly made, cheap materials, shoddy workmanship and overall just a poor quality item in general. Every time my daughter plays with it she gets frustrated because the couch comes apart, the microwave door comes off, or the bathroom door sticks. Not to mention there's no way to lock it shut so when she tried to have her Barbie "drive off" in it the camper comes apart in the middle. Unfortunately, it is one of her favorite toys so I don't see getting rid of it as an option. But as a consumer, I would definitely have to say this toy is one of the most poorly constructed pieces of plastic I have every seen. Don't bother buying it if you haven't already. My suggestion would be to research other ideas and buy something else -- which is exactly what I plan to do and, hopefully, replace this useless piece of plastic with something much more durable.
Disappointed in quality, but my 4 yr old girl loves it. Jan 14, 2009 I was sorely disappointed when I opened the box on Christmas morning. I was just as excited to get into the box as my daughter was because I had enjoyed my Barbie Beach Bus so much as a child. She loved it and went straight to playing with it before I could even get it all set up properly. I realized after awhile that the door on the "closet" was broken and would not stay on. Not everything pictured on the instruction sheet was included...most of it was there, but not all of it. After my daughter plays with it, I get to spend about 10 minutes putting it all back together to store it away. The bathroom door falls off; the sofa/bed falls completely apart; the dining table panel falls off; the bath shower head will not stay in place; and we have already lost a rearview mirror (just popped right off). My daughter is pretty gentle with her toys too, so it's not her. Even when I play with it, it falls apart. It's just frustrating and disappointing. I wish we had given her a doll house instead. But I must say that SHE does think that it is fun and it keeps her attention for at least an hour at a time.
