1~*~ Barbie Has A Permanent Bad Hair Day ~*~  Dec 27, 2006 By N. Bryant "MOM IS WOW SPELLED UPSIDE DOWN!"
Remembering fondly my childhood days spent curling my Farrah Fawcett dolls head.. I set out to buy my daughter a head to play with also this Christmas. I did not like the look of the Bratz dolls and then I saw the Barbie Fashion Fever Grow N' Style> She appeared beautiful and seemed to have enough hair for my daughter to braid and clip. I ordered it for my daughter and wrapped it up for Christmas.

Christmas day comes and my daughter is delighted with the Barbie head! She unwrapped it and could not wait to use it. Of course like any child she moved on to her next present to open!

The next day we take the Barbie Fashion Fever Grow 'N Style Styling Head out to play. No sooner did we gently try and style her hair in a simple clip and ponytail did the ball of tangled matted hair on her head become an absolute mess of uneven nasty hair!! She came looking pretty but as soon as you brush her hair even ever so gently it falls out and becomes a mess of tangles. I tried to brush it smoothly and masses of hair came clumping out.

By this time next week I am guessing she will be bald. She looks as if she needs a haircut with loads of uneven ratty hairs all over the place. Not to mention that but the electronic device on the front of her to wind up her hair from long layers to short only worked for about an hour and no it does not work on batteries. I can see if a two year old was playing with this head with no supervision but this was a mature little girl in grade school and her Mom!

Bottom line don't waste your money! Buy your daughter some foam rollers at the drug store, some cheap makeup and a brush and some clips and sit on the floor and let her do your hair or her sisters!!

I would not recommend this toy at all! Once again Barbie is not all she is cracked up to be! Looks are very deceiving! I suppose if you want to just display her forever she would be fine! But if you plan to use her forget it!!

5Woooow  Jul 24, 2006 By Barbie Chick "scoobydoo"
I really mean wooooooow. This styling head is perfect. She has a beautiful face, unlike some Bratz Styling Heads(don't get me wrong,I like Bratz, and Barbie and My Scene)but be honest, the Sweet Dreamz Pajama Party Styling Heads and the P4F Styling Heads(they,re the same)are sooooooo ugly.Their lips are huge and their heads are absolutley enormous, but the Forever Diamondz Styling Heads are verry pretty. This head is even better. Her hair looks silky smooth, easy to comb and style. Her lips and eyes are big enough(not too big)to put makeup on,and you can also put necklaces on her neck.Above all her hair really grows. How cool is that!?

3A tangled mess  Dec 27, 2006 By J. Highsmith
This doll was opened about 3 hours ago and her hair is already a tangled mess. The ends are all clumped and tangled. Not easily combed out. The more I try to comb it out, the more hair falls out. The hair itself looks like it needs to be cut. I guess they are trying to give her the "layered" look, but with different lengths of hair, it's hard for my daughter to "style" it. It's a cute idea, I just wish the hair was more easily manageable.

4Cute toy for a great price  Feb 12, 2007 By nancy
I purchased this Grow n' style styling head for my niece's birthday. It looked pretty nice. It's not the same as the Barbie heads that I played with growing up in that you do not apply makeup to Barbie, you can only fix her hair. I only paid $9.99 for it on Amazon so I have to say it was a really fantastic value for the money. I think the price has since increased so while I'm not sure I would pay full retail for it, it is really cute.

3Beware of the growing hair!  Jan 21, 2009 By Stay at Home Mamma
This is a very pretty doll, which is why I chose it for my 11 year old. She is really too old for such a toy, so I didn't want to get her any of the "princess" style heads. I got it so she could style her hair and practice braiding. She loved the idea, but the fact that this doll's hair "grows" means that there is a weird raised hole in the top of her head where the growing section of hair comes from. My daughter can't braid or style her hair because of the big lump (hole) on top of her head!
