Great affordable scale! Aug 20, 2010 I purchased this yesterday with my Prime membership and received it in less than 24 hours! The scale was not 100% calibrated when I got it (reading 100.08 with a 100 gram weight). I did purchase the 100 gram calibration weight (which is the one you need to calibrate this scale). It took only seconds to get it calibrated and worked perfectly after that. For those who said the batteries were dead when you got it, you do need to remove the batteries and unwrap the plastic from around them before they will work. I am very satisfied with this little scale. I plan to use it for dosing out supplements that I bought in raw powder form to put into gel caps (also available on Amazon). I did take away one star because it claims to measure in .01 increments, but once you get to very low weights, it goes in .02 increments.

Awesome! Jul 24, 2010 I paid 6$ in shipping and it arrived 2 days later! Shipped really fast for cheap. I was expecting a large package but it was small enough for the delivery lady to put it in my mailbox. I opened the box and started calibrating it but it was 100% calibrated out of the box! Awesome scale for the price and seems to be very accurate, thanks Amazon.

Nice Little Scale Jul 07, 2010 The design is very nice. When I first got the scale out of the box, it wasn't working. The batteries were already dead when they arrived, but that's not a big problem. The scale wasn't calibrated, but with a press of a button it reset itself. To accurately weight things, it has to be on a flat surface, because it is very sensitive. For my purpose (comparing scaled objects), this thing does a wonderful job, but I can't say so much about it's accuracy.
Very good May 13, 2010 Although everyone else was right about measuring grain at .2 and not .1, I found this scale to me more than suitible for my needs.

Great deal and excellent accuracy for reloading Apr 01, 2010 I read the negative review regarding the accuracy not being good enough for reloading use. I use this scale and the 0.2 grain error is no problem. Let me explain how I use this and this method should be used with any scale. With something as serious as measuring gunpowder into cartridges, I never trust any scale so I verify the measurement in this way. Let's say I need 6 grains of powder. I set the powder measure up to throw a single 6 grain charge as measured with this scale. That could actually be 5.8 to 6.2 grains which is unacceptable. I then throw ten charges and measure that. I should read around 60 grains but now the error range is 59.8 to 60.2 or 5.98 to 6.02 per single charge. I make slight adjustments to the powder measure device until 10 charges is equal to 60 grains. I am now within .02 grains per charge which is highly acceptable. The scale has performed flawlessly for me and I use it exclusively instead of my RCBS analog scale. I have also made comparison measurements with this and the RCBS with no appreciable difference between the scales. When used properly, the limitations of this ( or any) scale can be improved simply by utilizing a different method. Overall, this is a great deal for the price.
